Why is Wiecek focusing on MOS's family issues? Is he Ted Cruz or Donal Trump? Is "crying" a real football issue? Or is this just more headline grubbing by the incompetent, as Trump might say? I am not sure about MOS's leadership .... he had one of the best examples of a coach anywhere in Pinball Clemons .... He has witnessed some of the best in football .... but why isn't it translating? Is he too authoritarian or its opposite? Was the team divided or cohesive last tear? I really can't tell. Has the whole problem been (1) a lack of talent at the critical positions and (2) player leadership? Is it (3) the lack of support from above? Who has the diagnostic tools to actually nail down what the problems have truly been? Yes how our BELOVED BLUE perform in the first 6 games in a very challenging early schedule is going to be the measure of MOS's manhood, in the football sense. By game 8 we will know whether he has the right stuff. But what his family life has to do with BOMBER-MANIA I can not fathom.

If we lost all 5 by less than a TD I might be tolerant expecting a turnaround to finally appear .... but if we are blown out in 3 of the 5, then we have the wrong guy at the helm For what it is worth, the real crucible is whether MOS's heart & soul can be transformed into team spirit and mutuality, whether skills can be brought into a harmonious orchestration ... What I think is unfair is being charged a challenge when you win the challenge ... the zebras have gotten lazy on close calls, thinking if they got it wrong they can always challenge it I believe you should get only 2 challenges if you are wrong but unlimited when you keep being right

Yes its too early to tell And yes we information hogs will have our preseason predictions ready by mid September, if we have enough data by then.... But while we sit picking the peach fuzz out of our navel as we await the NFL & CFL drafts, would it be worth our while to test our judgment of reality skills ? Mofe specifically, who has better realistic hopes ... and who are deluding themselves about their coming disaster this season. Under the delusional category I see both Edmonton & Regina ... in Edmonton there is complacency and resting on their laurels ... meanwhile in Regina the off-season roster surgery is going to devastate local fan expectations Toronto seems to have the best chance for a quantum leap upwards, for no other reason than the jubilation of finally having a stable place to practice and play. Hamilton might finally run out of bad luck. Good luck may no longer be on Ottawa's side. Huffer going upstairs in Calgary will likely prove to be no more than a blip in their machinery. Management problems in Montreal & Vancouver might become more obvious. And in Winnipeg, we finally win the Grey Cup .... we just don't know which year.

The bottom 3 teams in each conference should play each other for the 17th & 18th games

We play home & away against all 8 teams The two extra games is home against Edmonton & away agaionst Calgary Why is a basement dweller playing its extra games against the division leaders? Should be playing those two against the Lions & Riders (NFL style of balancing), don't you think?

Winnipeg & Ottawa only play 1 preseason game each Labor Day Classic missing from above schedule Sept 4 Also missing November 4th @ Ottawa

My best guess is we go 10-8 with a bumpy start .... getting better as the season progresses ... we lose tthe Western final to Calgary ... in a dog fight with Edmonton all season

Harris is the best back we have had since Charles Roberts.

It's been a long time since we had a home grown Winnipeg star to cheer for. For me, AH makes the season. Further, Harris is one of the few players in this league who can put the whole team on his back and carry them. We have just added 4 victories to this season. Won't it be great to have his family in the stands?

The Board, officially or not, ultimately controls the purse strings especially on things as important as senior football executives ..... and that is where we fall down like ground hog day

I mean will Walters get even more aggressive this year or perhaps the opposite, be a little more passive or careful? Picard was supposed to be big but was instead a bust. Stanley Bryant seemed a solid signing but I feel a little underwhelmed by it. Moore at wide receiver hasn't lived up to hopes. Hurl was one of our big Canadian signings and we all know how that went when it came time to make an immediate impact. So what has Walters learned? Last year Ottawa was all over the free agent market; this year perhaps not so much. How is Jones in Regina going to affect the free agent equation? What other factors around the league are going to affect supply and demand for teams like Montréal and Vancouver?

We are about to enter into our annual free agent scramble. The teams will get their key people signed to two-year contracts. Some few sought after veterans will test free agency. Then there will be a few aging former stars going for their last big contract. Their ball clubs maybe breathing a sigh of relief at not having to pay up for these former gate attractions. So is anything different this year, unique factors the change the way clubs are going to go about their talent search? Or will free agency be business as usual? Does anyone think Kyle Walters will pursue free agents any differently than he has in the past?

Based just on value I believe we are overpricing the end zones and leaving a lot of people at home watching on TV. Personally, I would rather spend the money on a good meal than pay what seems like a ransom for a family outing to the stadium. Yes I will pay up for the grandstands where the sightlines are decent. But to watch half the game from so far away... No thanks. I believe the BOMBER management would do well to lower the price point in the end zone and fill that part of the stadium.... Develop some young fans for the future. Do any of you feel the same way?
