  1. There was a report that Shoen had accepted a contract from the Riders.
  2. I am flabbergasted by Wolitarsky's release. He was not an all-star, but steady, could be relied on for a clutch catch and an NI to boot. I can understand , even happy with Bighill's release, and can accept that Shoen went for the big payday in Regina. This, along with Jake Thomas being retained shakes my confidence in Bomber management and I have had doubts about O'Shea for some time. The only reasons I can think of for Wolitarsky's release is a) personal conduct issues(not bloody likely, b) cutting corners so as to free up money for a splash signing (then why keep Thomas who has pretty much the same salary) or c) group onset of early dementia. I will reserve final judgement until training camp is over, but am discouraged.
  3. Awwwww....(rubs toe in dirt)
  4. Clercius is younger, cheaper with good hands and was a very physical player after he got the ball, punishing would-be tacklers. I liked Wolitarsky but...
  5. The upside that I see is if players from the CFL go to the Excited States and do well, American players who get passed over in the NFL draft may be more likely to consider coming North and getting noticed by US teams.
  6. Lowe looks like he ought to be competitive, Daughtry looks to be training camp fodder.
  7. Maybe not, but last season's O-line was collectively the weakest in several years.
  8. The last two QB's who beat the Bombers in the Grey Cup beg to differ.
  9. O'Shea has to wear most of that.
  10. Low center of gravity, and amazing body control and leg strength. He wasn't super-fast, but was super-quick with the reflexes of a ferret on meth.
  11. Blink reminded me a lot of Mack Herron, but without the personal conduct issues. Herron could have been another perennial all-star but........
  12. And carry the stigma of having been a Rider. A fate worse than death.
  13. No surprise there. But Bethel-Thompson cannot use that excuse. He's just weird.
  14. The truth is that Bighill, Jake Thomas, Brandon Alexander and Kolankowski are blocking the developmental path for better, younger (and cheaper) players. But all this has been said ad nauseum.
  15. Paul Simon says the word is "tenement hall", dammit.
  16. The word "good" is noticeably missing from his sentence/
  17. Sometimes old habits die hard.
  18. Worry not. It will take most of a bye week for Jake Fatboi to get out to the line of scrimmage, so we need the extra time for him or he will be too winded to be effective.
  19. But its easy to be rigidly stupid. "The words of the prophets are written on the subway walls.....and tenement walls". Or is it Quizno's?
  20. 'Tis a mystery, to be sure.
  21. We could start a GoFundMe...
  22. That is, with all due respect, no freaking mixed message. It is a large, economy-sized FU to the team from, I believe, O'Shea. Only the first third? You are being wildly optimistic.
  23. Words fail me, and I am a published author.
