  1. The jokers in the deck are his long connection to the Argos and their current sad state as well as a psychological one: the pull towards "home" gets stronger as we pass the half-century mark. The more a good person is a good person, the stronger they react to emotional tugs as they age.
  2. It is not fair to Rourke to compare him the Casey Printers. Printers had great physical tools but a brain the size of a walnut combined with an ego the size of a Mack truck. Everything I have seen in Rourke leads me to believe that he is a good guy as well as a pretty decent quarterback.
  3. Not worth the pixels to post about him.
  4. From Lawler's point of view, cash provides great comfort. Don't blame him at all.

Well, most of Trump's support comes from rural, low-income and poorly-educated areas with no end of social problems- like low life expectancy, high chemical dependency/abuse, third-world infant mortality high crime rates and low incomes. These rubes place unquestioning faith in authoritarian corporations and politicians who blame minorities and promise, but never deliver dramatic panaceas.
  6. A bit surprised, but not shocked. After all, it is Alaberta.

Fortunately, Trump for all his intended malevolence. is incredibly stoopid and paranoid to the extent where he did not trust anyone else to cover his misdeeds and instead chose to believe that he was clever and entitled enough to bluff his way out of literally anything, including sedition and treason.
  8. Apparently she was shitfaced drunk when she rammed her home, and police have applied for a warrant o seize her blood samples taken at the hospital to check her BAC.

Sadly, the fools who are rallying to Trump's defence (apart from the fascists in government) are simply cannon fodder to Trump and his cabal, but they are too stoopid to realize it. Kinda reminds me of the line the king in the Shrek movie: "Some of you are going to die but its a sacrifice I'm willing to make". And now multi-millionaire Trump is begging for alms to fund his looming criminal charges defence. Apparently you CAN fool some of the people all of the time. Apparently another state has decided to provide AR-15s to their schools. Can't recall which one, but I am sure that Remington is ecstatic.

Paul Manafort admits sharing info with the Russians during 2016 Trump campaign In an interview with Business Insider, former Donald Trump campaign manager Paul Manafort admitted he was in contact with the Russians and sharing information during the former president's 2016 presidential run. For years, questions have been raised about Russian involvement in the campaign that saw the New York businessman beat former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, and Manafort is now stating that he handed polling data over to the Russians -- in particular to "Konstantin Kilimnik, a longtime business associate with suspected ties to Russian intelligence." According to the report, "Kilimnik then passed the data on to Russian spies, according to the US Treasury Department, which has characterized the data as 'sensitive information on polling and campaign strategy.'" In the interview, Manafort excused his actions stating he wasn't looking for help getting Trump elected and did it purely to make money, with Business Insider reporting, "Manafort told Insider that he directed his deputy, Rick Gates, to feed Kilimnik polling data via email to 'keep Konstantin informed.' The goal was to use his access to Trump to drum up business for himself. "The data that I shared with him was a combination of public information and stuff for the spring that was — it was old," the former Trump, advisor explained. The report adds, "Manafort said he had no reason to think Kilimnik was spying for Russia and pointed out that Kilimnik had been vetted and cleared by Yanukovych's staff, stating, "None of us believed KK worked for Russian intelligence. https://www.alternet.org/2022/08/paul-manafort/

Mike Lindell claims voting machines took over entire countries MyPillow CEO Mike Lindell on Friday brought his personal crusade against voting machines to the Conservative Political Action Conference (CPAC), where he uncorked a conspiratorial rant claiming that the voting machines had completely overtaken dozens of foreign countries. "This is very important you hear me on this," Lindell told the CPAC crowd during his address. "Over 54 countries have now been taken by the machines or are getting taken by the machines! And you never get to go back!" Lindell then listed off some of the countries that had purportedly been overtaken by the malevolent voting machines. "Venezuela, Australia, they're gone!" he exclaimed. "You don't get to vote out the machines once they're there!" Despite Lindell's claims, there is no evidence at all that any voting machines flipped votes from former President Donald Trump to President Joe Biden during the 2020 presidential election. https://www.alternet.org/2022/08/mike-lindell-voting-machines-countries/
  15. And when we inevitably lose a game, it will be heralded as the end of an era with much wailing and gnashing of teeth.
  16. Much as I hated O' Shea when we played against them, I never saw him spit, kick or punch an opposing player nor did he resort to racist name-calling (although he questioned the sexual appetites of the mothers of some players). Other players soon learned to watch out for him, as he never missed an opportunity to lay a careless player out.
  17. I think this is called either opportunism or having a killer instinct.

If the Americans re-elect Trump, they will deserve everything they get. Starting to look more and more iffy,, though, thank God.
  20. KD was a character, though and a heckuva linebacker.
  21. Could be a terminal case of senescence. There's a lot of that around these days, but few talk about it.
  22. Looks like the Argos might sleepwalk into winning this game.
  23. Agreed. This is like watching midget wrestling only with both wrestlers drunk. Meticulous planning.
