Not sure who you mean by this. If anything hanging onto the old guard for too long hinders player development. Rose, Bailey, Gray, Jeffcoat are all out, making room for younger guys to play. Clements played well, but Cole is the guy they like better. Developing to have a higher ceiling. Can't think of a younger player they've had get away that was developing into anything.

Can't keep the whole gang together forever. Got to be a youth movement at some point. More than 1 injury in any positional group is going to mean a rookie stepping in. This is the CFL, should be expecting some 1st year players to make big impacts. Without that, can't stay on top. Look at Montreal last year. They didn't just win the Cup based on their FA signings. Ento and Mack were a huge part of it. Looking forward to the competition in camp this year.

I don't like Friesen but Jeffcoat says that article accurately captures the situation. Sucks to move on from Jeffcoat but it's time. That 2019 Grey Cup from him and Willie was one for the ages.

If it wasn't for the legal tampering period the timing of release would be right as FA opens. That's probably a good time to get released. So this is only a week late. I'd bet these bonus dates start to coincide with the start of the tampering period.
