Status on Collaros.....aged and in serious decline....and have to think now is dealing with an ongoing injury issue I think stemming from that Edm game...and hasnt really been 100 percent fixed...if ever will. I also pretty sure we (the team) are/were very aware of it and the fact they have done nothing really to either put the actual work/time/packages/reps together to develop a guy already here....or make a move to get a possible heir apparent is an utter failure all around...with multiple people to blame for it, and the fact we actually had the poor judgement to re-up him before he even stepped on field this yr, let alone took a snap in an actual game has to be one of the most bone headed moves in decades.... Incompetence all around, and not sure the dynamics of what going on and who's word holds the most say, but to me I think the bit of success the team had was attributed way too much to Osh and with that somehow he gained more control of the who and how we go about player signings and FA targets, or has totally taken over....I am certain Walter's hasn't gotten real stupid overnight, moreso has forgotten he is the Boss and actually has a set of plumbs dangling between his legs and needs to take control back...or get out of the way and we get someone else in who will Honestly tho...I think after the yr is thru we move on with Osh, and get a new fresh guy in their who knows talent and x' and o's and keep moving forward...For most part players coming in now....new to league....or just new to team don't know Osh from spit...and have no allegiance to him or this fascination he is the be all end all.... yeah...something about that process is flawed....especially when you not flush with top end guys in their prime....come to think of it...other than BO who do we have thats a top end talent in league in their prime??....I'd say Nichols as the last few games are not really an indication of him being all of a sudden bad....he's stuck in that damed if you do...damned if you dont situation trying to cover miscues elsewhere

Yeah I'd keep T.Jones on roster...he's a great backup...can be really good in situational play...he can excel on teams as well....He should be in Ayers DA spot and would actually be used...why Ayers isnt is baffling...and when he has been...he's used out of position...and with the teams realization Person can play...and play well and will only get better...I dont think I even seen Ayers take a snap other than maybe short yardage??...even then you would think Person took his role there....so really...what a waste of a DA J.Jone taking over in the middle, and if we only need to g=have 1 Canadian on any given snap on defence then slide Griffin or Parker back to SAM....That would help a lot in regards to the confusion in the flats and 10-15 yards from L.O.S Bridges has to be taken out for at least a game to send a message to all players that if you are sucking....you are gonna be replaced...Let Allen get his shot at either safety or CB....and ideally drop Ball or one of Korn and Thomas and let Bailey loose and see what he gives the defence in rotation....and he can play teams as well.....gottafind the right sauce here before it gets into too late territory if Makonzo is helthy and stays healthy he is a very underated/valued guy to the average fan...dude is legit and could cover several spots for us....Same with Smith and Say (whom was touted as the next Singleton)...well let him gt snaps already....same with Smith...all he does is get involved in pretty much every special teams stop....many claim you earn reps with teams play...well he's earned it...and it's not like he came from some CIS school and is behind the curve compared to rookie imports Kelly back as well is gonna help us....but these gys all need to be allowed to play, and get valuable reps so when it's crunch time and we have injury issues...we either know they can play...or trust them and not feel the need to run out walking wounded ...again which has killed us in the past

WE have four Canadian DT's...more than enough depth as we technically dont even really need one to meet ratio if we choose..We can also use Bailey in that last spot....A Canadian or a Global...so we good We have Kelly and Makonzo both coming back...Shay...Smith....loltsa Canadian options to supplant pooching the dead weight...

Strev was also hurt Promote Patterson...he came from closer to...and played under the more old school way...is a no b.s guy and would garner player respect ...that's how id go for the yr...also would relate a lot better to the u.s players and see/utilize guys accordingly in regards to skill..usefulness and deserved play

I dunno...with more work...coaching from Jackson...and getting reps with 1's in practice and if he gets next couple starts I can see Strev being more than serviceable...you have to remember guys in this time fully recover from reconstruction surgery...Strev is only what...10 months removed from surgery? He's gonna regain his legs...hes not cooked by any means in that regard He has thrown 5 tds to ZC 7...and that's in just over half the attempts...and other than 1st start minimal prep and crappy situations So I'm apt not to make final judgements until he gets a bunch of consecutive starts...will that happen...who knows yet...should it...I think so as looking at the QB market moving forward he may be our best option for late this yr and into 2026 barring any trade where we get a gift from someone...so the prudent thing would be to start implementing stuff with him in mind...and getting him work in every possible situstion and chance we get. Elephant in room tho is Osh and we know how he operates and doesn't allow for anyone to push for a prominent role let alone the defacto starter...and this should be occurring in multiple positions too...not just QB There is a definite issue and disconnect in room and amoung coaching...management....and add in a stubborn HC who won't make a change let alone tweeks unless ultimately forced to, well then we get what we are seeing.
