  1. So are the Strev doubters 100 percent certain he wont develop his passing more? Seems like it to me and that's foolish...many a good QB before him was similar..Ham for one..even Damon Allen was all run..spotty passing...you have to put a good 3 yrs into a guy before throwing away..he is leaps and bounds better than last year and if he was in an offence where he could actually play QB and run a normal offence..he could impress
  2. Another thing to note if you watch highlights of the Cats vs us..most of if not all their success was abusing Rios and Hecht..two guys who are not on the defense now
  3. He also.missed several games..and when came back wasnt his normal self..had brace on..looked limited..has since ditched brace last 3 games..been playing with a QB who can toss downfield..has nice stats and production ro show for it..he of double digit TDs and thousand yard seasons the last 2..
  4. totally would have been...or knocked away...reciever was flat footed...waiting on ball..DB was bee lining to it
  5. Man the people who complain about the traffic can eff right off..pardon my language...if they ever had to navigate going to and from a game in other places they would see this is a dream...In Oakland and San Fran where I attended many a game..NFL and College...game day travel logistics were a nightmare...easy 3 hours combined of travel..sitting...waiting...I go to Bomber games now from Southdale to IG and it has never took me more than 20 mins to get there...or 30..35 to get home....Can't say the same with travel to and from Polo...but I never bitched and moaned about it or said it should be in a better location. And based on city growth and populous who attend games...more are probably closewr to the new stadium..and will be in future than those who aren't...it's also easier for out of towners who attend as well for the most part...rant over
  6. And a beast putting his head down to get those extra dirty grimy yards...
  7. also the coaches salary cap plays into things..if you have to pay a guy you canned against your next year cap..how can you offer a guy like Oshea big money?
  8. their core next year will be very gutted...and if they choose to bring them all back...if it's possible I hope they do...an aging declining crew who couldn't get it done this year...won't next...I also think that CoFag will level out and be an average QB who will keep them around .500 or slightly better...he is not a game changer by any means Not sure how a fan base calls a season a rebuild when they brought back basically the same team from 2018 starter wise and added a high priced Free Agent pick-up for defense who did squat for them, and an aging high priced free agent running back whom they chose to not use properly...they added big buck guys Ryan..Johnson..Powell and to lesser degree Arceneaux to add to the same starters from previous year...how is that a rebuild??? They were giddy with their abundance of talent...over estimated it slightly and added what they thought were big free agent scores...Their own words were Jefferson was not a loss and were even better with Johnson...not a rebuild...just an old team who fizzled out, and got out coached...
  9. yeah people get too hung up on stats....instead of looking at the whole picture...we have basically shut down 2 teams in the play-offs...with a total defensive effort...not just relying on one guy doing it all....Jefferson's play, and responsibilities in the game plan has opened up things to other players, where the game plan was designed to funnel things, and like mentioned, dictate what we wanted to do...and it has worked
  10. I think this Oshea to T.O thing has grown it's own legs and came from nowhere...and won't happen. He likes it here..has created something really good and am sure would like to really establish a legacy...Sure he played on S. Ont ...so what...only a fool leaves a good thing, to go to a bad situation, and be basically insignificant and an after thought in a poor market
  11. yeah his drop problem seems wayyy over blown...he makes clutch catches when it matters....has for last 3 years He also has removed the knee brace he was wearing for the play-off games as welll as last game of year...and has looked like a different player...was probably still not 100 percent in latter part of the year Also overlooked with Adams is his work in run game...deadly blocker and is always getting his nose in there banging heads...invaluable in the offence we run
  12. Yeah he is 32 in March....and Rider fans were yip yapping about how Harris was old and would be a non-factor...not considering Powell has much more tread taken off his tires over the years in college and pro's..Harris was a part time player for a good 2-3 years prior to be a feature guy
  13. good to see this getting some media light now...was such an obvios intent to injure...P.O.S....NOW imagine if one of our guys did something similar to their Fartado hero and the uproar you would be hearing from that toothless fan base and the media...it would be sickening Same with the horse collar on Adams...we'd still be hearing about it...christ we still hear about the shot Jeffcoat gave to Bridge which had no effect on the outcome of last years WSF whatsoever
  14. he was also benched because really he was hardly utilized....wasn't dropping balls...wasn't playing hard...he was just usually told to sit in the flat..take a dump pass and be expected to beat 3-5 guys before he basically got his feet moving...every sweep he ran was succesfull...was open many times on deep shots where our QB couldn't connect with him....but Collaros has shown he can...you put him in for the Grey Cup...his threat alone to take it to house from anywhere will open things up for others...you have to account for him out there
  15. I hope Lucky somehow gets rostered for the Cup....there is always a guy who comes up in the big game and goes off on that big stage...he is the kind of guy that could on several levels...Seeing as Collaros can utilize Adams and Woli on the edges, and Lawler as well has chemistry with him and is a threat, Demski's re-emergence I think we can swap Bailey and Lucky out again...send him on deep routes and let Collaros nail him deep...if anything he will pull defenders away from harris and the run game
  16. not thast we have to re-visit the MATT hate, but his 2 play-off losses were not on him...how you dont get that is baffling Collaros will earn similar money to what he got this year...he may have to settle for an incentive laden deal but he wont be north of 550k I don't think\ Masolli is coming off an ACL...Not nearly the severe thing to come back from like it was even just 5-7 years ago...he will be fine...A one two punch of him and Strev would suit me just fine and be no worse than what we have had recently, and most likely more dynamic
  17. not to mention 30+ Labatte and Powell...old ass team...with zero depth...window of opportunity waves buh bye
  18. We have averaged only 13.5 points per game given up in play-offs so far..against 2 good teams...on the road...under extreme pressure....can we do it again...I think so...Evan's has been good for sure, but basically a rookie starter and big game..big pressure...possible new looks by Bombers I see him making a a big error...possibly more
  19. Was Jeffcoat...100 percent certain..if wasnt him was Maston
  20. ALSO....Strev has stated in media in his college city, as well as here too I believe that he likes and appreciates the opportunity Canada (Wpg) gave him and is more than happy and focusing on being best QB he can be here and wants a long career in Canada doing so...he won't have that in NFL and truly loves playing in WPG....So if we choose to sign him back here...this is where he will play
  21. Thing with Banks...you disrupt him early, make it tough and rough him up a bit, he goes in pout mode and isn't half the receiver..need to get in his kitchen early and often
  22. Not sure how they scheme the play, and what the option is...I would think if a jet sweep is called...you run it and the blocking and receiver routes are set up to make it succeed..
  23. A jet sweep is basically a called play...too much going on and it's a timing thing generally...you don't read option that play...it's about blocking a speed..you try to be too fancy and you asking for errors...or being stuffed, you want that ball carrier getting it in full stride
  24. Interesting fact...in the last 6 quarters of play-off football this Winnipeg defense has not given up a TD...lets keep that rolling
  25. saving it for the cup...would open things up and most likely catch em off-guard initially
