  1. Personally I think the roster again has some eyebrow raisers...but that's Oshea for u... If Houston practiced in full...and is game healthy and they chose Holm over him...who has missed the last few due to injury as well that is very odd...I guess they feel hes not 100 percent Why Walker is off tho when he been on consistantly is odd...he serves a great purpose...same for Mcrae...They both offer way more in game use outside teams as whom they were replaced with. I guess when u have a poorly stocked PR position wise leaves u hamstrung That being said I feel this version should handle the Lions...but if we get to Cup and roll with this lineup when we have some other options I'd be a bit questionable as to why
  2. yeah not too concerned with Bailey...he will be in, and I sure Grant can run some sweeps and certain plays that Mcrae did as well, and if it allows both Houston and Rutz on roster...,I'm more than okay with that
  3. almost unbelievable
  4. yeah that makes little sense as really what does Burtenshaw offer....Only thing I can see is that Krahmdi isnt gonna be available so it's a Canadian for Canadian swap there for ST as thats the only purpose he serves on the roster, and we likely see Rutz back in which would be real nie for rotation...Walker coming off makes me think Houston is back on too, and we want more coverage guys for different looks. Coaches probably think with the Jeff's and Adams, as well as Sayles, Lawson and Jake we will be fine up front with a fresh rotation ability and looks with Darby, Rutz and Clements to go with Briggs, Gauthier and Mauro...especially if we can throw out Houston, Parker, Rose, Nichols and Lawrence in some combination and BA patrolling out there....closer it gets to game time...the weather....and the crowd...I see it being real tough sledding for the Lions, especially if ZC has the offence clicking
  5. thats the one they want....100%...and will push that narrative until game time...then have it fall flat in their face
  6. never was a fan of the "numbers" as there is no way of even really knowing....how do u determine eyes on a game in venues...groups in a household...etc...etc...if there are butts in the seats...u know there are many multiples more watching....it's an antiquated thing and really wish they wouldn't even bother with "numbers" and really...who really watches the ads, and has it influence them in any way...other than annoy a person watching the same ones over and over....people buy things based on what they want...and if its the trending thing...not a commercial...and advertisers will always be there to put their ads on the air anyway.... wonder if there will be others...like a Prairie one
  7. yeah....this team is focused and putting in the work....no doubts there
  8. yup...agreed....I also truly see no want or reason for either to leave....cause really why would they....sometimes legacy and perpetual success and accolades goes a long way...and if it came to money...I'm sure the Club will make it work....especially now with the cap...only so much u can give without raping your staff and not having quality across the board
  9. thing is....if the leadership group is maintained, and the continual retention of core players, and new blood that fits the narrative, then the wheels shouldnt fall off....but this is pro sports, and it eventually becomes cyclical...but some times takes a loooong time
  10. yup....and Lately Parker has been playing great...and gets better and better....also rarely misses a tackle.
  11. and knock downs....tackles for loss on what would have been a sack...thats why a lot of times stats are misleading...case in point Sankey and Dean tackle numbers... exactly....and why they dont have even half the games on the CTV network is baffling....it's not like the programming on there is must/have to see t.v
  12. they worried....and not just cause the weather
  13. now that would be a big bonus....i sure he be eased in possibly in WF...or is he slated right in?....but him added to Rose, Nichols, BA, Darby and Parker, with also Ford showing he is more than capable, and whomever the extra db will be...gives us some real nice depth/options....
  14. well to be realistic...to have maintained that...or be even better would have just not been fair hahaha...
  15. I dont see BC holding us under 25...under 30 I think will be a stretch....so they are going to have to roll all over our defense....and cant see that happening in less than ideal conditions....didn't see it in ideal conditions, so the task is more daunting for them...Home field...vet experience...been there before...and the quiet confidence and the goal of going 1-0 again I think puts us over the top...we are rested....healthy basically and just played them 2x...and have had 2 weeks basically to prepare and scheme...would take a major epic dropping of the ball, and dumb play along with getting zero breaks all game for us to fail...then again...on any given sunday....will be a gooder none the less
  16. He's a first read guy...it's taken away, or not there....he is average and basically tries to buy time to chuck it up and hope his guy beats the one on one jump....or hoped he got a guy in behind if db lost coverage....If his mobility is limited...like it was, and likely will be worse as he won't have "healed" any more than what he was, and is likely in worse shape...then that chuck and duck game plan will be less effective. I look for us to use a lot of combined man coverage, and jamming his first read at the line....and a lot of pressure early to have him rushing things...pretty much what we have done before...just amped up a bit
  17. the only guys u will see on our team with beanies and face protection are the ones that have done it most of yr as a covid preventative..Rose...and a few others
  18. pretty sure Hall has something cooked up for the Jeffs to bring it....I can see a lot of fronts with them inside too....beffuddling that Lion O-Line and looks lil Rourkie hasnt seen and will throw right into trouble
  19. NO DOUBT....Be even better other than that anomaly
  20. interesting to say the least, and kinda funny considering all the flack and complaining that occurred about our apparent weak secondary...quietly and efficiently just get the job done with no flash and boasting...much like the team as a whole has done week to week for past several years the Lions have scored 33 of their 58 regular season touchdowns through the air. On the opposing sideline, the Bombers defence has allowed a league-low 19 passing touchdowns this season. Additionally, Winnipeg allowed the second-fewest yards per attempt (7.8), tied BC for the fewest passing yards allowed per game (253.6) and have held opposing quarterbacks to a league-low 65 per cent completion percentage.
  21. getting smacked in the mouth with no answer how to smack back
  22. all along I had the thought the Gnome hangs on to that position in Mtl
  23. theres no passive with Buck...he lets the offence attack....and attack some more......Lapo offensive never did that...they just took what the defense was more or less luring them into.....as they knew Lapo would take it...
  24. wonder if 3Down nation and other media grasped what Hall was politely saying...that yeah he came out of gate great, but at this point hasnt proved anything and being in yr 2....lets just see if he can sustain this....or just become another footnote in the flash in the pan history of QB's....a sentiment many here have been saying....
