  1. so hypothetically right now with guys signed/brought back excluding draft picks and any possible FA pickup.. would it be safe to say a tentative starting 24, sans TC competition which would give us our best line-up be: Willie...Lawson...Fox...Haba up front (I have Haba there as he started games but truly don't think he's our best option...which isn't a bad thing by any means) Wilson...Biggie...Cole as the LB's Holm...Parker...BA....Nichols...Ford on offense Big Stan...Dobson...Eli...Neuf...and lets say Vanterpool and Kolo as 6th Lawler...Woli...Demski...Schoen...and lets say big Bodied Keytaon Thompson out wide with Cruickshank for now as the Returner/gadget guy ZC...and BO in backfield Can't see that line-up by itself not being at least a 10 win squad at worst....But we have some guys....especially on defense now that I have looked at the roster that could really push for a role/starter spot...as well as a couple sleeper guys in offensive skilled positions too. We get a solid draft...maybe 1 more under the radar key value signing as a free agent on defense...and things really look pretty good....younger...hungrier....and still have hat key depth with leadership and culture police Especially if we can un-earth the Biggie heir apparent this yr, and have him be guided along by Biggie in a more rotational role to keep him fresh... .thoughts?
  2. Bummer....But hope he gets a shot to play there, and makes some scratch...wasn't gonna get either here which is too bad....He gonna be a good one
  3. i also think if we actually utilize Ford and Kramdi to their strenghts...it allows BA to be a true safety, and thats a win right there...he will be 2 yrs removed from his injury...and I expect his all-star play to continue....plus we may have 2 new younger guys in secondary, so he will be key in keeping guys coached up I am all for true competition in those spots...and RT isn't an issue in my mind either...I think we will easily find comparable, if not more varied use of our RT this yr with who we are bringing in to challenge....We were pretty confined with what we did outside there last yr...No knock on Yosh but his mobility was not like 2..3 yrs ago, and I saw him trucked too many times last yr for my liking
  4. Complacency and comfortability had set in...and is never a good thing, even with a veteran laden team...some of this should have happened last yr, but pleased to see a god majority is happening now, tho a couple of re-signs are questionable...but could be gone after camp...guess we will see
  5. I look forward to the morphed line up this yr....needed new hungry blood....and some youth...clipped a lot of 30 somethings from the roster...
  6. he gets to dance late tho...thats my issue...and still not sold on his tackling...and dont see it improving...Thank god he biffed on Rhymes last yr....Ford will get there sooner to actually disrupt a play...or minimize it as opposed to helping slow it down I'd like to actually see us only declare 1 National on defence anyway....so we can freely swap out DT with an import, with a Nat in at SAM or vice versa...we started more than required last yr, but rarely utilized it to any rotation advantage...so whats the point....tho how we had our roster, and PR set up we had nothing in the cupboard to take advantage of it with anyway...especially with a spot being wasted for a pointless fullback, and one who made no impact on ST's Maybe Krammer can change my mind and show exceptional traits as opposed to adequate at best...but not holding my breath there he holding a presser or u guys out at a romantic lunch date??...lol MTL or Hamilton...slight chance Ott but they seem to have what they need there SMS wie...though I would dump Acklan for Sheed if I was the GM there...just the guy they need to pull it all together
  7. and showed great close and nice coverage...tho he shows that in practice all the time regardless so not a shock...just needed a chance and was not getting it at time with guys we had in front of him...He also excelled on ST's as well so that will help this yr too
  8. I'm always around....u just dont realize it! I have flexable work sched and where I do it from.....so basically am online most of any given day...that being said...Our roster usage blows....better be rectified this yr!!! Have at er!!
  9. Thats my hope...with Kram backing up....Way more athletic....way faster as Kramdi is a 4.7 guy.....and I would assume a better tackler...as Kramdi is a smidge better than Houston was....
  10. It's a nice break from my attacks...tho I expect many more....hahaha...I enjoy it to be honest....makes me laugh during a long work day...of working
  11. Ford back allows us some options now....I could see him slotted at Boundary corner or SAM...plus is a back-up returner option too if our game day guy gets dinged...solid piece to the puzzle
  12. so good at it haha....but in all seriousness...he was/is
  13. yup....would have been a leader there hahaha
  14. big signing based soley on the comfort and consistency factor....you know what you getting and in big moments 9.5 times outta 10 comes through
  15. In a nutshell....and that doesn't even touch on the Oline...Defensive backfield and the fact hey over payed for several guys their depth...which was lean before, will be even leaner again...some of their depth from last yr is still unsigned We have some depth role guys to add as well...but we recruit a lot better, have 10 picks coming up, and our front line guys across the board basically outshine theirs....They will be in tough to possibly get 3rd place but Meueler was spawned from the seed of Lancaster!!!....cmon...he's top tier even tho he has been demoted and pushed to the wayside previously yeah...he didnt want to restructure...so was punted...whoever replaces him will definitely be a down grade....even with his pushing off B.S...and they also will be without Hatcher likely most the yr, and will be a non factor really this yr when he does return...Next yr he will be fine..this yr...not so much
  16. Smith was looked at/projected as a legit NFL elite returner..so curious if he takes over the McRae role...but only being a huge return threat and way more effective on offence
  17. Chris Smith is the one I really interested in...he's got legit skills...
  18. Possibly we let it be known we were moving on
  19. well we have Karmoko...and Mauro could be back....they both be more usefull as globals than a average to less than average punter who I feel was a huge reason for our punt coverage to suck arse all yr...not a few games but all damn yr...it wasn't that all our cover guys just sucked all at once and were on a steep decline..there also some good global prospects this yr as well....Allow Castillo if we sign him to do all 3 jobs and gives us that extra body to actually have a use
  20. yeah...maybe thats a good thing??....hate to see them lost (Exume and Hansen) but maybe the loss of them and Briggs, and an infusion of new youg blood will turn it around....a different punter....or get him to kick like a normal punter will help as well Kelly tho was real good on teams...Hallett...Cole...Gauthier...all excellent as well....but we def need to shore up there now
  21. those thursday games tho....so tough haha
  22. no...he is ready to rock....look at his social media
  23. really....I see us only "needing" 2 guys along the dline.....and by needing I mean preferably a veteran who can play and a depth/role guy I for one would not be opposed in the lest to signing Sewell to a one yr deal in the middle while we groom 2025 replacement on the fly....and would love Kongbo as that Canadian depth/rotation guy....and like I mentioned...Sewell could come in with the jumbo package as he has done that for yrs and would move bodies better than Mr Seal.... The key to me this yr with 10 draft picks is to either use a couple to acquire someone....or actually use them this yr with guys who can yes...play teams but also contribute and develop into something more....not just these guys who stood out on their ST film, but projected as nothing beyond that....as thats what got us into this lil depth predicament we have seen the last 2 yrs...we lost focus a bit and didnt project down the road verywell
  24. and my gut says it may have been time with Yosh too
  25. how do u improve over Schoen and Brady, and in house db's we already have will improve over Houston Back up QB as well is an improved area...even with all the Brown luvin that many had...we much stronger there now
