  1. I would think so. Unless he really stinks it up most OL get some PR time.
  2. I expect a 225k receiver, NAT or not, to be able to step into a 1 receiver spot without struggle. Maybe I am being harsh on Demski but his salary commands the ability to do so. It is elite receiver money. Lawler seems to be brittle, and Schoen just takes a pounding at an unsustainable rate. Do I worry about their long term health? Lawler's yep....Schoen nope. I would think the Bombers have to turn the page on one of them this offseason though. The emergence of Wilson kind of makes that an easy decision IF Wilson isn't NFL bound.
  3. Demski seems to have lost a step. There I said it. The Winnipeg player firing squad should arrive soon.
  4. Both Riders retirees are OL as well. Might be some dissension amongst the hogs over there. When Harrison was a player in Calgary he wasn't exactly a popular guy amongst his OL team mates apparently.
  5. I agree. I think we have shaken off whatever was ailing us earlier this season. Our D is reminiscent of 2019. Kenny Lawler will help that a lot.
  6. Yeesh what? You guys play like that in the LDC and BB and you will get blown out both games. Over the past 3 games for each team the Bombers look better than the Riders. Much better.
  7. Cool...if I decide to give them another try I will try one. Just was not at all impressed with the one I ordered. Shouldn't paint them all as bad I guess. Should have went with the Montreal smoked meat....one can never go wrong with Pastrami. That honey ham is sweet to the point of gross though, I will never order another sandwich there with it on. I did enjoy the portion size of meat though, and the bun was pretty good.
  8. Nope...Rich has it right. The political threads brought out revolting behavior. Far, far worse than anything said in the football discussions.
  9. Biggie's usage was exactly right. He wasn't tasked to do anything with speed but his football sense was utilized instead being the spy. He was filling every escape gap that Adams had throughout the night and it gave him fits. Adams, like Collaros earlier this year, is in his own head. Sitting him a game or two would be the best thing. It's what we kind of did with ZC and his "thorax" injury. Regroup, and reset mentally.
  10. I tried it on Monday. Same sub you had, (wish I would have read this earlier) with the honey ham. Way too sweet, ruined my sandwich. My first and probably last time I go there. I wasn't impressed at all. It wasn't awful, but it was nothing special either. Not worth the extra miles, extra $, and wait time to me.
  11. Absolutely locked in. VAJ wasn't getting a ton of time either.
  12. If anyone can do it Lawler can. I agree. Having 2-3 rookie receivers is not great for any offence and especially for a guy like ZC who improvises so much. Getting a guy like Lucky and maybe adding a Sheed who both know where to go and what to do when a play breaks down would help a lot. It was a master class by the entire defence, but yea...the secondary was lights out.
  13. He played very good last night and so did Matt Nichols on many nights. I can get behind your "is he worth 600k?' question. Very reasonable question. However, both last week and this week Collaros seems to have command of the huddle again against two very good defences. I am not suggesting he is in MOP form, but he certainly doesn't deserve some of the shots he's getting either after the past couple weeks.
  14. Look, it's one game but anyone suggesting that ZC wasn't very good tonight is being biased. He was as good as any QB could be under the circumstances. He's gotta keep it going though. He was mentally slumping for sure. Looks like he might have turned the corner now.
  15. Our interior OL has been a gong show, all 3 of them at various times and sometimes all at the same time. I don't know if it's cohesion, or talent, but something's gotta give. Our receiver injuries just don't allow for that kind of margin for error.
  16. That's the running narrative here for sure. Let's look at a little thing called facts though. Last year he led or was 2nd in every meaningful QB category. He was in the running for MOP through most of the season. He had 2 games last year with a QBR under 95. He was, in fact, almost exactly the same statistically as 2022..which he won MOP.
  17. No one wants to hear about all the drops and routes improperly run. It's all Zac because he suddenly went from MOP calibre to washed up in an offseason.
  18. Exactly. ZC is not washed up or done for. He needs those around him to do their job to have success.
  19. Zac is not the problem in our offence..although he isn't the answer either. It starts at playcalling..which has been awful since late last year. Receivers not getting it done, an OL that is whiffing on protection too often, and a QB that is trying too hard to make something out of nothing. WTF did Brady ball go? Answer that and you have found our problem.
  20. He looks old school and appears to be a guy that plays old school too. I like it. I hope he continues to develop well. I think the lineup looks pretty solid. Now if it used right we might be onto something.
  21. Lapo only wants 7 yards on 2nd and 10 and it must entail a 3 yard reception with 4 yards of YAC. I think Wallace is definitely in the future starter plans.
  22. Stoddard taught you well then. lol
  23. You better...or you are dead to us.
  24. My line of thought is that they actually dressed a guy that can play MIKE, and Biggie does not have to be on the field as much because it's Shea Patterson. We can go traditional MIKE in our defence this week. Not saying it will be a permanent thing.
  25. Stoddard carved out a pretty nice career for himself standing on the LOS all by himself and waiting for the odd pass when no one bothered to cover him.
