  1. I bought a bottle of horsey to go with an outside round i had cooked and shaved for roast beef on safeway onion buns a couple weeks ago, that's how I knew. I was just looking over the condiment aisle and there it was. I was tickled pink. I used to love the Arbys roast beef sandwiches but am rarely able to get one these days.
  2. Looks that way. Maybe shoring up our SY unit too that literally sucked as well.
  3. You are half right. There is no use complaining about that tackle and no angle shows definitively that he had a mitt full of jersey. You are allowed to have a hand on the back just can't be grabbing anything. We did not lose because we sucked ass though, that's a Rider thing.
  4. For many, many years when playing vs. the East the Western teams have to overcome the officiating as well.
  5. I didn't notice but I was kind of swearing and jumping around.
  6. The PR increases by 5 people for a 30 day window and then reduces by 5, at the club's option of when they choose that window to be open, between Sept.5 and November.8th. If we opened our window a few days after the NFL cuts that 30 days expiry would coincide with the cuts we saw the other day. The PR does expire at season's end but the 30 day expanded PR window can end anytime from Oct. 4 - Nov. 8 and if clubs have used the expanded PR, like we do every year, then they must reduce numbers at the time the 30 day window expires. PRs go from 12 to 17 players with an extra NAT necessary in those 5 if the club already has bare minimum NATs on the PR. It's all on CFLdb.
  7. Dobson had many OLE moments throughout the game. He was constantly being pushed back into the pocket. Not trying to absolve Kola, but Dobson was straight up losing his man on man blocking assignments.
  8. Can't challenge horse collar tackle.
  9. They sell it at Walmart.
  10. Toronto mauled our OL. I don't suspect that will happen again. We seem to have a game like that every 5-6 games for some reason then the hogs get po'ed and dominate for a few.
  11. That would be my guess. I believe the PR increases for a few weeks and then goes back to regular just before the last game so that teams can bring in guys for a late season look and give prospects for next year some things to work on before they come to camp.
  12. Yea...the scoreboard really did flatter the Argos to a great degree. We didn't make the inches when we needed them and that was our downfall on the day. We left 16 points out there.
  13. Liam Dobson was the biggest problem I saw out there. He lost nearly every 1v1 to Ceresna he had.
  14. PJ Walker represents a bonafide chance at moving on from McCheese. I would be excited if I were a Stamps fan.
  15. The last couple years of Darvin's time here were mired in injuries and inconsistency, but he did give us a few really good years of production and big play capability. You are correct that it was time to move on, but you are also glossing over a number of years he was a consistent 1000 yard guy for us that played football the right way. Bailey was a warrior who did everything we asked of him and did it for peanuts. Are we better off without him....well with the emergence of Wheatfall and Wilson it would be pretty hard to argue that we aren't. He played his heart out for us though. Over rated...maybe...but that's because fans respected his game.
  16. When Jake Maier is the best in your QB stable you gotta turn over every stone looking for a new QB.
  17. The best DB in the CFL. PERIOD. No one knows his name except every QB and OC in the CFL because they simply must game plan to never throw his way.
  18. Holm is a very solid HB. Unless we are picking up an all-star it is hard to see how we could do better. If his salary expectation is nutso, sure, our scouting has clearly demonstrated that they are unbelievably good at recruiting DBs...but otherwise we would be nuts to let him go.
  19. Anyone who can say that Milligan is more deserving of MOP than Brady with a straight face has the football IQ of a peanut shell....and I might be giving them the benefit of the doubt with that comparison.
  20. Not a tough accomplishment since their defence is atrocious this year.
  21. NFL bound this offseason according to X. His mother apparently been tweeting for a couple months about it.
  22. I would be gobsmacked if he didn't return for another year.
  23. Anytime you are trotting out a 40 year old QB you are taking a gamble on your season. Especially one who playing the best he is able to nets you a .500 record.
  24. Cody is a perfect example of film study shutting down a QB. He is a creature of habit. For the first 10 starts of his career in Regina he was on fire, until defences studied the film and figured out that he defaulted to retreating and spin-o-rama when under pressure and then he was awful until he re-invented his game. Now defences have figured out his new tendencies and he has been pretty average to below average as this season has gone on.
  25. Even little things like tendencies and physical read give-aways take some time to find but once you've got them you've got them. Every QB has his tells, you just gotta figure them out. When a rookie comes in they are unpredictable because you just can't read off their eyes or physical tendencies and that's a big advantage for them. Once opposing defences are able to decipher that he (eg.) drops his shoulder, or points his toes a certain direction before doing this or that....the field shrinks big time for them. Just adding to your point...I know you are aware of this.
