I feel like the moon is an untapped market, we should definitely consider this.
Are they considered Imports?

Turnbull is 32... Dusty old bones.
At least he's not dead, which didn't an old Ottawa franchise do?

If you
who then will be our ST Coordinator?
If you believe him, this guy can do just about anything.

If the Bombers don't land Collaros, I'm 99% sure that Burris will be the Bombers starter next season.
Winnipeg and Edmonton are likely destinations for Burris. If the Bombers don't acquire Collaros, Winnipeg would be the most likely of the 2

AWW ****. Hopefully the Bungles will draft a bunch of DTs in April.Cincinnati Bengals @Bengals
They have tons of DT hurt right now.
Roster move: We have signed DT Christo Bilukidi and released DT Kheeston Randall. #Bengals
Bilukidi finally catched up on the Bengals.

IMHO Collaros is the best available QB this year (I expect Burris to resign with Hamilton), but I hate the idea of giving up a 1st rounder, 2nd overall, for a Free Agent, especially since we already gave up our 2nd rounder. It sounds like a desperate move to me. I'd rather take my chances in free agency and keep the 2nd overall pick.
I don't expect we'll give up a first rounder. I do expect we'll swap with Toronto though.
That being said, without trying to get your hopes up, you should be confident that Collaros will sign with us when we trade for us. We'll have the ability to talk contract beforehand because unbelievably, Collaros actually wants to come to Winnipeg so Toronto will want to maximize their return.
Really ?
Because all indications are that Collaros wants to try the NFL this off season.

of course he's going to have NFL aspirations, what QB doesn't.
Eventually reality is going to set in that the NFL will pass.

If Berry was so great they would have kept him in Montreal!
By that logic, Ricky Ray would have never been traded.
The logic is different..we're talking about Tillman!
Logic is the same, the only difference would be the reasoning behind it. Tillman thought he could get some assets he didn't have and get the same result without the flashy stats.
Popp wants to surround himself with his guys. Obviously felt enough about Berry to bring him in last year as a consultant.

Not a dumb thread How many rookie coaches have we had that didn't work out? I think experience counts for a lot...
Hufnagel, Austin, Trestman were all rookie coaches when they had an immidiate impact, so your point is kind of silly.

Maybe he works in sales for OB, I dunno? Anyway he said no.
he works in sales for Ourbombers? Talk about a thankless job. Every sales pitch would just get vetoed by Shankman.
And Colin would take forever to improve working conditions.

Berry did well here, I was not in favour of his firing.
I've heard his players weren't that big of his fans though here.
2 of those players were either shitty or not healthy enough to not be labeled as shitty.

I know it's a difficult question to answer because there's more to see of Reilly, but who do you think will end up being the better QB over the next 5-10 years?
I think it'll be fun to discuss because we've had the opportunity to acquire both. Looks we'll end up getting Collaros.
No guarantee on Collaros. Ottawa will go after him hard. Maybe even Hamilton as Hank is a FA.
A friend of mine who works in the media in Edmonton said not to be surprised if Burris lands in Edmonton. Take that for what it's worth.

Yeah, I knew I'd get that response. My answer is that I can't see things being any worse under private ownership for the Bombers than the way it is now. How many people are we paying to sit on their asses now? Four?? This is F Troop calibre stupid the way things are being run now. Fans don't trust the process. Judging by the way Miller answers media questions & his body language it's apparent to me that he doesn't trust the local media. Perhaps just a small group of people in his inner circle.
... one
Buchko and Burke is at least two, no?
We aren't paying Buchko.
And as of right now, we're not paying Burke to sit on his ass either.
How do you know we are not paying Buchko?
During the presser, it sounded like a mutual thing. Later in the week, there was an article that he resigned.

^^^ all about talent vs. performance
I'll stand by the fact that with a proper QB, we have TALENT on offence already to complement that QB. Without a QB, their performance will suffer.
You can stand by your fact but it doesn't make it right. How can you say a 3-15 team has talent? Sure, at a few positions but overall, not enough.
Take Ricky Ray out of the equation, and insert Justin Goltz, or Jason Boltus., you're not getting close to half the same results. Sometimes a great player at a key position makes everybody around them better by association.

I've come to the conclusion that the only way this mess gets fixed is if this team becomes privately owned. The community model the Bombers & Eskimos use is broken. Private ownership to me is the only way.
Like they do in Hamilton, and Toronto?

according to the Bombers twitter feed, the CFL has mandated that no coaching/management changes can be made until after the Grey Cup

Laverne and Shirley would be an improvement......
out-dated reference. Most of the posters here weren't even an itch in their daddy's pants when those two were on TV in prime time.
Thanks for the heads up, I had Lenny and Squiggy in my back pocket for a later date. Better shelf it.
Anyways, Justin and Miley would be an improvement.
How about...Bert and Ernie?

and yea sure we have solid depth on the dline but dont you think we make room for bilukidi? he is gonna be a solid additionto the front 7, at the very least more effective then one of thomas or arguably more valuable then Anderson or Gilmore.. no?Unless he makes a huge impact, Bilukidi won't be a Bengal beyond 2013.
Atkins is on IR for the year, but we have plenty of depth on the line when he's healthy and there probably wouldn't be a spot for Christo.
I was referring to the Bengals, not the Bombers. Bengals fan here.
well ****, how was i supposed to know that lol.. nobody cheers for cinci anymore!
I guess Mike and I are the only Bengals fans here :S

Funny, thats also the list of players Ottawa has of who not to take in tthe expansion draft

At the time Mack was hired, there wasnt a CEO was there? Buchko came after if I recall.
Besides which, thats a terrible answer. Because the BOD hired a GM, Asper should go? Come on...
I think Jim Bell was acting CEO.
Sucks for Buchko... Jim Bell was around when Mack was hired, Bell was around when we were told the stadium would be ready for 2012 (before Buchko) and Buchko gets all the flack cause of his frosted tips.
