  1. I'd like to see Lawler get some looks while Nichols is still in.
  2. Today I have brought shame upon my family.
  3. What time do things kick off? Is it noon ET?
  4. I was also standing the last few min and almost left the room from stress. I use ESPN+ on my computer or phone to watch the games when I’m in the US. Only like $5/month or something and the streaming quality is gorgeous so well worth it!
  5. That’s a very good point. You’re right in that it is exactly what the challenge was made for. Not that it would have likely impacted the game, but there was one other opportunity and it was on the no call for roughing the passer on the Bridge hit.
  6. Yeah I felt that hit was pretty ridiculous but they pointed out that the refs views was obscured. It was also rough that Jones had to waste his challenge on a very very obvious PI. And yet....I can’t stop grinning from ear to ear. 1-0 next week, let’s make it happen. GO BOMBERS!!!!!
  7. I still think you should come to LA if the Bombers are in the West final and Grey Cup!
  8. Brad Johnson was the best QB to ever have lived!!! You take that back right now!!!
  9. I got laser eye surgery earlier this year. You might want to do the same - did wonders for my vision!
  10. Well I think this sounds like a perfect plan. Depending on the results Nov 11, you should very much come in for the western final (and Grey Cup)! Let me know if you decide to make the get away a reality! Thanks for the info, I'll look into this as well. The key for me is that I'd really like to watch the games with other fans. It'll be very odd watching such important games alone. If we actually win the cup and I'm not home for the parade, that'll kill me.
  11. Hey friends, I'll be in Los Angeles for the east/west finals and the Grey Cup, and while I have an ESPN+ subscription which I watch most games on while I'm in the US, I'd really like to hang out with some other CFL (and ideally Bomber) fans while I watch. Does anyone know of a bar or lounge that would not only have the games on, but be celebrating them with ex-pats around? Are any of you in LA mid-late November?
  12. Been such a crazy season. Every single playoff contending team, with maybe the exception of Calgary (and even then, their last two games have been bad), has taken turns looking like both the best and worst team in the league.
  13. Yeah this about sums it up. He and the other drivers on the road are lucky that nothing terrible happened. I also don’t think he’ll miss playing time right now, the Riders can’t afford to lose him at this junction, but I think they ship him off in the off season. I don’t like Jones, but he showed when releasing Carter that he’s not afraid to lose one of his best players if there’s a problem of some sort.
  14. Of course, but we won’t have to play both of them in the Grey Cup. I’m saying if we have to go through two teams, SSK/CAL or HAM/OTT, I’d rather the former.
  15. I would much rather go through Sask and Calgary than Hamilton and Ottawa. As of today, I think those are our better matchups. Hamilton is the next hottest team in the league after us, and Ottawa is hot and cold and I really don’t like the idea of a coin flip on who we’ll get that day. We know exactly what we’re getting with Sask and Calgary which makes drawing up a gamplan much more straightforward. No Masoli to improvise, and no Ottawa receivers, RB, and *sometimes elite* QB.
  16. I would start Streveler at this point and put Nichols in for a change of pace/ so Streveler can see the field a bit if Strev is struggling in a game. To me, we’ll just have more options on offence if Streveler is in there. Pretty much all the sacks Nichols took were coverage sacks, same thing for the throw away passes. If that was Streveler, he likely takes off for a positive gain in those situations.
  17. ESPN+. I’ve watched three games live in the states in the last two months using it.
  18. I think the reality is simply that there is incredible parity in the league and any team can win on any day, whether by a small margin or a large one.
  19. Exactly. Sometimes I feel like I’m the only person on this hoard that watches all the other games. Every single team has had major ups and downs this year, most from week to week. It’s not all sunshine and rainbows for anyone but Calgary at this point.
  20. I use ESPN+ and it works incredibly well. Fantastic quality, includes all the games.
  21. Also JJ had the benefit of a monster receiving core, Pipkin not so much. He looked pretty damn legit to me.
  22. So if we’re to paint Calgary with the same brush that we did the Bombers the other night based on them losing convincingly to an “inferior” team, after this week the Stamps and Bombers are basically the two worst teams in the league and both teams should blow up their entire front office all the way down. Two good teams were beaten by two other good teams. Parity in the league is a good thing and hopefully at the end of the year, we’re the ones hoisting the cup. Over the last many many years, Grey Cup winning teams have lost many a regular season game. Here’s to hoping that instead of going 11-7 and losing a playoff game, we go 9-9 and win a damn Grey Cup. Tonight showed us once again that any team can win on any given day. Hamilton beats us earlier in the season and we beat them a month later. Sask loses to Montreal and beats Calgary. We all see our own team’s issues, but every team has issues. I’m hard pressed to say there’s many teams I’d trade places with right now. Not that we’re in better shape than the others, just that everyone has something to be concerned about. Edmonton started and ended hot last year but had quite the losing streak in the middle. Perhaps Calgary will do the same this year.
  23. Or is Adams running the wrong routes? Hard to say. That near pick looking like Nichols threw a fade and Adams ran a streak. Thompkins also has an easy TD if he’s not interfered with which would definitely affect Nichols’ stat line. The Dressler near-TD-drop was also a beautifully placed ball. But yeah, if those passes to Adams were Nichols’ fault and not Adams’, then not a great half.
