Yep. Sounded like excuses to me. Elks had a miraculous start. Props to them for shooting themselves out of a cannon to begin the game. Part of that is the Bombers making some questionable defensive play calls. But part was the Elks offensive line having a tonne of energy. Fact of the matter is that they couldn't sustain that level. And eventually the Bomber D matched and surpassed their intensity and blew them out of the water. We essentially spotted them 3 easy TDs that game. The rest of the game was controlled by the much better team.

Not sure if this has been talked about... But did anyone else hate the call by Richie Hall to blitz everyone when the Elks were still in their own end? We have all of the momentum. We seemingly have Tre Ford figured out. And then you call something risky like that? Bleh. Got them to 29 points

Can we nickname Dru Brown "The Magician"? The way he misdirects on the handoffs, his ability to escape the pocket and make great throws on the run. It's his stage and I'm here for it.

I have faith that the current contingent of linebackers will keep Tre Ford from making too many big plays.

Schoen has that uncanny ability to pull away deep in his route or shield away the DB. Also really good at adjusting. I don't really consider him a jump ball guy. When Lawler comes back he has more of that to his game. But yeah without him I think Agudosi is the only one.

I knew Vaj was streaky. But those 6 interceptions goes beyond skill. I honestly wonder if he's color blind and can't see that baby blue. He was throwing it directly to Argos

We were spoiled last year in that the team was basically unbeatable. Rourke was the rest of the CFLs only answer. And of course, anything can happen in the Grey Cup. Even with very good teams of the past, they're generally not as good as the Bombers were last year. I welcome this year where we have to fight for the Ws. We will be a bit more hardened come the Grey Cup. This team needs that adversity.

I think if you had a 3rd global they would have to take an Americans position Edit: Rules define a minimum of 21 Canadians. And there's no minimum of American players. So I think you could naturally say that the 3rd global would replace an American

Absolutely Just reminding people who think that globals essentially act like Canadians. They get 2 spots on the roster and we have a global punter this year.

The thing is that with Hansen back they'd be having to take Maruo out of the lineup or else he'd be taking an American spot
