  1. Well, Walters could of dropped 100K for an unproven CDN RB, or another chunk for a oft-injured 34 year old WR/KR. But Walters hemmed and hawed and dawdled, and we missed out......
  2. As the heat turns up......the circle of decision makers gets smaller....never mind the House, Senate or the rest of the entire WH administration. Trump, Bannon, Priebus, "Javanka " (Kushner and Ivanka) and Steve Miller... hunkered down in the Trumpenbunker, insisting that things are still going according to plan....as the shells are whistling overhead.
  3. Well, not enough frenzy yesterday...... has got me in a bit of a frenzy....
  4. .....or the Judiciary ......or the media ....or the mainstream members of your own party.....
  5. During the election I was traveling through the Dakotas, Minnesota, and Illinois. Talked to a bunch of folks about it, got some varying reasons on why people were supporting Donald Trump. Some of them seemed fascinated with his celebrity status, Some considered him a "straight shooter" and more importantly "not a politician" But, the key concept I took away, was that a lot of people were angry - real, real angry.... and mistrustful of not just the Democrats, but of the entire current economic, political and judicial systems.....and were looking for an outlet to vent that anger and "make ourselves heard" In short, the general feeling among Trump supporters was....that the "deck was stacked" and "no one was really listening to us" and that it was time to "send a message to Washington" Trump really cashed in on this.....running as the ultimate outsider (even attacking mainstream Republicans) , telling people what they wanted to hear, utilizing very simple and strident messages, or sound bites....and a very simplistic problem/solution mantra....while actively encouraging folks to get as "mad as hell" and then channeling that anger into an over the top aggressive posture....which also helped Trump play pretty fast and loose with the truth, and having it accepted in quite a number of instances... "Make America great again" "Build a wall, and make Mexico pay for it" "Tear up NAFTA, etc, give Americans a better deal" "Lock her up" "Drain the swamp" Trouble is, without the what and the how.....these statements are in themselves, are really pretty meaningless. During the election, Trump articulated no plans or policies to accomplish any of this - depending on his supporters to take it on strictly face value. (they did) So in the end, this real estate baron, CEO, 1 per-center, business mogul....had now somehow become the acknowledged voice of the legit concerns and enabler....of blue collar America. Ironic. Without going further into what has happened in the first month, in the Trump White House.....as I am out of breath, at present...
  6. Trump was going to "drain the swamp" Problem is,...Donald is the swamp.
  7. Lots of Trump mouthpieces tripping over their tongues, these days......
  8. Seems like at least, he has the credentials to screw with the American public. He will fit right in......
  9. Program Note: White House Press Secretary Sean Spicer is scheduled to present another episode of his highly rated comedy act, in a must-watch briefing at 1 p.m. Eastern time.
  10. Going past the xenophobic agendas, serial lying, and paranoia, for a moment........the sheer incompetence of all of this...... is simply epic.
  11. Awesomely terrific and unbelievably great.
  12. So the Justice Dept, informed the White House a month ago, that Flynn was potentially compromised by discussions with the Russian Ambassador - you know, the ones that Flynn is not sure whether they happened or not. Yet despite this, and that it was Trump's National Security Advisor...... nobody in the White House - Trump, Pence, et al....knew the single, slightest thing about it. Come on. What a motley crew this is.....
  13. Those are not lies......they are "facts" Bad is Good.
  14. Briggs is solid. Expect the Blue to focus mostly on depth, during the frenzy.....
  15. Hard to run any kind of systems, with all the flipping, either....
  16. More like they watch and wait until the puck goes into the net..... Fixed.
  17. Then we better get in a coach....... who is able to say what is needed to be said to Buff.
  18. Started the year wanted Maurice to be retained. But watching this team "fighting" for a playoff spot, raises serious doubts. Not mentally sharp, undicplined, weak on the puck, and looking totally disorganized in all areas of the ice. To say nothing about our "special" teams. Kids like Laine and Ehliers getting tough love, while a number of vets, especially Buff (who should) are not. All the talk about how Paul is such a great communicator - it might just apply with the media, only. Because whatever he is saying to the players, game in and game out - is simply not registering, somehow. Wounder if some of the veterans have tuned Maurice right out. The Jets clearly need to shake things up, or turn the dial. Coaching change, moving some vets, whatever. The status quo is a total fail, right now.
  19. Just like some of those same parties, cashed in, under the Bushs
  20. This administration seems rather confused. Then again, pretty tough for them to keep track of which particular lies to defend, on any given day.
