The tradition?
Was attending Derick Armstrong's first game with the Blue, in 2006. Wanted to do a game report or summary or something, that was a bit different from what everyone else was doing.
Out of nowhere, had a vision of the ole time UP tickers, on the side of office buildings - hence the usage of ellipsis, to end sentences and run on's to the next.
Evolution?
Did the thing without notes for a few years, but was getting harder to remember everything.... then tried copious notes - but this made it harder to watch/analyze the actual game. Finally decided to take only notes for the yardages gained and field positions - leaving me free to analyze the game and add "editorial content" later.
Name?
Was considering "This and That", but was reading a lot of English literature at the time......therefore it became "Odds and Sods" which is pretty well the same thing, anyways...
