Oh and may I add that the man said they would spend less this year so they could make a big splash in free agency come 2014.
Did he actually say that? He knows we can cut anyone we want in the offseason, right? That statement makes no sense.
It makes quite a bit of sense actually, so I'm glad Walters/Mack put the team in this situation.
Use the leftover $$$ on guys like Etienne, Alex Hall, etc and give them bonus dollars to count against 2013 cap. Free up as much 2014 cash as possible for a guy like Collaros or some OL
Fair point, assuming those guys are willing to sign before the new CBA. All the more reason, then, to play guys like Pencer to develop them now. If we aren't spending for today, let's at least develop for tomorrow.
Speaking of the CBA, some modified form of RFA would be welcomed, IMO. Too hard to develop through the draft when a guy can just leave after two years.

Any truth to the rumour that practice this week is cancelled because Burke doesn't have the balls?
I'll be here all week...
-
Why does the media give Burke such a huge pass? I don't get it. Is it because he talks to them?
-
Fans and objectivity are not synonymous. Hence the derivation of the term fan. Burke's argument was he had an ill prepared QB with just above zero playtime in the game with 25 sec. He made an objective decision. No one has commented on Burke's decision to play defence first in OT? A decision I am sure was also objective providing his QB more time to prepare. Perhaps the counter argument could easily be he should have rested and calmed the D after giving up the td for the tie. Isn't hindsight from an armchair wonderful.
Burke's argument was he had an ill prepared QB with just above zero playtime in the game
Which is precisely why guaranteeing overtime against a hot QB with all the momentum was the worst decision he could have made,

At the very least, Max Hall got rid of the ball a lot faster than Justin "Drop, Stop, and Rolled" Goltz.

Charles Roberts.
In town for the legacy dinner, will sign and retire as a Blue Bomber.
(Just kidding, I think it's Martell Mallett)
That would be the only salvageable thing out of this season. Do it!

I don't think the team could move far enough West for me at this point. My PVR went South this evening...as in to CBC to watch the Jets game.
Dual recording is where it's at.
We were also recording Million Second Quiz. Married life...

When Hall's "performance" actually made a patchwork o-line look better than when Goltz was in....ugh.

Add a third Rider player to the list. Eron Riley?

Didn't Johnson fumble like three times in the first two games? I know he had two in Montreal...

And what a sack that was. I woulda given it to Wild myself but I've become a bit of a fanboi of his the last whie. Turner woulda been an awesome choice as well.
Another big Wild fan here. Guy is always around the ball.

I bet you a lot of people missed out on this because it is a sticky thread. I know I pretty much just ignore them without even thinking.
-
Petition time? Half serious. Actually mostly serious. I think it would be popular.

Walters is...impressive so far. With a good scouting staff with US connections, I am starting to think he could actually do this.
Also, interesting in hind sight to look at this weeks roster moves (Buck still "hurt", Woodson scratched). Whoever gets scratched next week better pack their bags!

The fans, myself included, have been begging for Royal Blues. I don't know why the team refuses to listen.

I could not believe when all of a sudden out of nowhere Goltz little TD thing became a huge controversy... He's been doing that since the get go and it never mattered one bit before, have we really run out of things to ***** about that we gotta go for what the young qb does when he scores? Cause I'm telling you right now there are a LOT of better things to ***** about with this team.
worth pointing out ... he's never done it when we're losing
He's also never integrated someone else's touchdown celebration. Again, while we're losing.
I don't see why imitating someone else's TD celebration is seen as mocking, when really, let's be honest, a choreographed celebration itself is mocking to begin with. If we are going to lose, I would rather at least be entertained. If we lose the next game 50-7, will we all be at least secretly satisfied that our players handed the ball somberly to the line judge rather than straightening a fake tie?
The media in this town sucks balls.
Headline/article: "Fuming Goltz Rips Media"
Video Evidence: Mildly annoyed Goltz respectfully voices displeasure.

Signed?

Reed is just an awful head coach. They go for two (and miss) when they didn't need to. Then, when it actually would have mattered on the next TD, they don't go for two. Math fail.

The fact that this has already happened twice seems a bit...off, though.
