McCallister and Kongbo are both DE's too. I like Kongbo to be resigned too. McCallister did not accept a PR spot before so you never know if he leaves again if he doesn't crack the lineup. But again, we have enough DE's already but we need an established DT.

By all accounts Speller is not going to re-sign and early on there was a rumour that Argos will pursue him in FA. I guess it's not a rumour anymore. So, instead of losing him in free-agency why not at least getting something than nothing. Plus, Bombers has no leverage on this trade. Walters: Hi Pinball I want to trade you Speller I know you need a good versatile OL. Pinball: What do you want for him? Walters: I want at least a 3rd rounder. If the Argos won't able to sign him he will still be an FA. Although it wont be impossible that the Argos talked to him already before this trade happened.

I think it's a good trade. I feel that Speller is a goner anyways. So we upgraded 52nd pick to 48.
