I think Kowalczuk will be the #6 OL and team goes to Sask with a prayer that none of the starting OLs get injured Sunday.

There were head coaches who become successful in their first year... like Chamblin, Milanovich, Trestman, Benevides.. some of them won the Grey Cups.
CFL experience is key not only on the HC but thru the assistants as well... which we have less with Lapo and now with Burke...
In the event that Burke is fired (or possibly quit, I got a hunch he will have a call from his old boss Trestman to be an assistant there, who knows)... and we hired a rookie Head Coach the Bombers should surround him with assistants that have years of experience in the CFL.
That said...
I'll inquire about Bob Dyce as Head Coach and maybe he can bring Khari Jones here as OC too and he's good friend Bob Wylie as OL coach.

It's really too bad when you stop and think about it.
Marcel, Tim and Craig are probably the 3 best coordinators we have had all at one time, it would have the makings of a real solid coaching staff if only we could have a good HC in charge.
if lapo just made a call to marcel last season instead of hiring crowton. I think he still be the head coach up to this day.
or if burke made a call to marcel at the beginning of the season and can crowton, we are not a 1-6 team today.

If they start Buck this weekend I will be done purchasing any tickets for the rest of the season. This is complete bullshit. I cannot believe they are going back to buck.
Hold on to that thought after this game. You never know who will end up at QB by the second half.

imo, Creehan is a good HC material rather than a coordinator, a rah-rah guy that can inspire and fired up his team. But Im not saying he should be the next Bombers HC. Burke and Lapo are not HC material but we all know they excel as coordinator.

putting aside the comparative values you're suggesting for a sec... why would a team trade for a guy who isn't under contract?
i mean trade him before the end of the season
just like the case of LaBatte, if Mack knew that its impossible to extend LaBatte he should have trade him before the contract expire and maybe he did get something for in him in return.

if and only if... Walter sees that the Bombers will have problem extending Muamba... would it be wise to trade him for a Ray, a Lulay or a Burris ?

I would rather let Mack, Burke, Crowton finish the season... but I would like them to bring in an Offensive consultant... eg. Strasser, Wylie or Bellefeuille
after this season... would like to see the following changes
... John Murphy for GM,
... hopefully Kylie Walters be retained as Asst GM and Canadian Scout
... hopefully Tim Burke be retained as Head Coach
... hopefully Khari Jones will be the next OC and Buck Pierce as the QB coach
