The only reason why Edmonton and BC shouldn’t clean house is money/coaching cap. The last time Edmonton gave a damn was the first 3 quarters of our last game with them. BC is down 2 scores under 3 minutes, gets the ball twice but bleeds off nearly a minute trying to get organized. They have a 36 year old QB who is 10 years in. No excuse for that.

The community-owned teams are also necessary for revenue to pay for/operate their stadiums. Not many others in that position. BC Place would do fine without the Lions, McMahon would just be imploded, BMO is the national soccer stadium and home to a MLS franchise, McGill owns Molson, Ottawa and Hamilton might be in some trouble without a CFL tenant. There's a level of desperation that's a bit different in Winnipeg and Sask to keep the teams playing. I kind of worry the rest of the owners and country could shrug if push came to shove.

Stanback could win the East on his own depending on the conditions. Hamilton can be a real shitty place to play with wind and cold.
