  1. He lets his assistants do their jobs, is mostly what I mean
  2. Kelly was clueless about one crucial thing: Listening to other people who know about football That, to me, is the main thing that makes O'Shea a great coach This could be a 1000 word essay - but I'll leave it at 0.02
  3. I'll wager it would be a very different experience and he'd be less effective - QBing the Elks.
  4. I was expecting this nugget...from you.
  5. 1. Dru Brown - there's ice in those California veins 2. Stanley Bryant. OL was solid & he has been back to his dominant self, of late 3. Lawler - the catch that killed the Elks - no tag required HH: O'Leary Orange - seemed to help Brown settle in - early on Crunch: the secondary as a whole
  6. It's our turn to have a QB...that no one has any film on.
  7. They'll let them hang around for awhile, in true Bomber fashion. Be cool Bomber nation, be cool.
  8. All satire aside - what it does prove - is that football is a damn hard game to play.
  9. And a bit too much imagination...at times.
  10. It was both. When he was acquired and also the following year.
  11. Yep. They have QBs who can barely function, but tried to get cute.
  12. Incorrect. There was plenty of negativity about that trade. Said thread is very entertaining.
  13. I was thinking Lauther would miss and the Ottawa returner would concede the single - would have been an appropriate conclusion.
  14. Give up a dozen sacks...then start handing it off...
  15. Thanks for the feedback guys. It was just something I thought I'd throw out there, to see what happens.
  16. Sure, but the CFL doesn't have that option.
  17. The Prairie teams are an anomaly.
  18. 1. Increased playoff attendance 2. Less games = more incentive to do a better job with concessions 3. Not all of those games are turning a profit. Have Fewer games and run them more effectively 4. A better product, due to improved weather, will eventually increase TV revenue
  19. 1. By having higher attendance for the games that are played 2. By having more and better concessions 3. By increasing playoff revenue, especially GC revenue, due to improved weather conditions
  20. It could be done without any revenue loss. Maximize the profits from those 15 games.
  21. In the entertainment business, I don't many decisions are based on what people 'should' be doing.
  22. Well, here is my 0.02 What they could do to avoid November is play a 15 game regular season and have just two bye weeks per team It is all but certain that this would lead to better playoff attendance And, you'd be finishing the regular season is what will usually be beautiful fall weather The games eliminated - usually have lower attendance anyway TC / PS - status quo
