  1. I can think of so many times holm has gone full speed to the opposite side of the field to take a tackle on a players that’s not even his. Those numbers aren’t reflective of just completions. Anyway I’m logging on to see where Jamal went from the injury list. DT didn’t say anything about changes in his visits to practice. Maybe a new returner?
  2. Sergio Brady Nichols HH to collaros new hubba bubba sponsorship
  3. I wouldn’t have mentioned Holm’s name as a projected starter pre-preseason this year either. His rookie year was just ok. I could attach some articles of during preseason about holm…but I think those were shared enough 😂 The sun using Parker’s name in the same sentence as Alford and Nichols to me is so laughable. Parker is good for sure, but not legend like them omfg.
  4. Edit: my bad, I do believe he did rotate at halfback in preseason, but corner was likely going to be his spot due to rose injury. When I said a year, I mean he has not played a non preseason game on D since 2022, I still stand by that.
  5. Parker was a projected starter at corner due to injuries. Holm was projected starter at half. We haven’t seen Parker on field in nearly a year against a real team so saying he’s better than holm who has improved immensely in the last year isn’t a possible comparison. 2023 holm is better than 2022 parker. I can remember parker having more than a bit to work on last season.
  6. I meannnnn they did exactly what I thought they’d do. Though I didn’t think they’d use an extra fullback instead of a DL. After 4 years following this team, they’re very predictable. I’m not mad, we’ll be fine. It’s a great lineup. I still think Parker should be in rose spot if it was my team, but it’s not and I figure they always prioritize the vet. And the other DBs are strong there so they won’t move. He put up a few days in practice and sounds like they liked the guys they had better. Gotta trust they saw enough. They see these guys every day at practice - at the end of the day that means more than the bit we see in games from them.
  7. It sounded like burternshaw was pretty injured prior to this return so maybe he needs the most insurance behind him compared to the other guys. That’s my best thought
  8. It’s McRae on kick, Parker off lineup entirely. Just posted
  9. I think McRae was returning kicks for practice. Could be wrong but I think I saw that on twitter.
  10. That’s what I would guess. And then I think holm vs Parker, the lesser will end up on the one game.
  11. Olivera, Nichols, Demski HH to Lawler, Hallett
  12. They announced the change to fighting hawks in 2015 but officially switched in 2017. This is my hometown team! There are actually 5 guys currently in the CFL from UND, which is why I started watching. We have 2 of them: Olivera and Holm. Green and white forever, baby.
  13. It’s SO interesting to me that there are sawarmy fans out there still 😂 next week will be Parker or rose in his spot, whoever’s back first. I doubt they make other changes. with kramdi hurt, Darby stays. I could see them bringing in more bodies but we’d have to shed some PR weight to do so.
  14. It’s interesting because we have great players… and we’ve shown we could do it in the first 3 quarters.. and yet here we are. There are only a few players that are consistently poor in my eyes. Even if we cut them, we still lose this game.. as some of our most game changing errors were on some of our best players 2nd half. The numerous errors on O led to our D being out there damn near all half, getting piss tired, and not being able to execute on a critical drive. The loss is on everyone tonight. We’re in need of this bye week coming up. I mean...our injured list is going on 2 pages after tonight.. I think we’re roughed up and tired and it showed. Everyone loves to see a giant fall… but you know what they love even more? A comeback kid
  15. Derek Taylor tweeted Grant on crutches on Sunday.
  16. Here’s a quote from BA from the post they released today on the WBB website. “And that big play before that… that was a big ‘my fault’, as well. I should have been there for Holmie (Evan Holm) on the post, and I wasn’t there. That’s definitely my fault. I’m glad I was able to make it up on the next one. To be honest with you, that interception shouldn’t have even needed to happen because I should have been back there on that post play.”
  17. If you can’t see that he’s earned a starting spot this season idk what to tell you 😂 you can’t know it was his guy, period. you can guess, but unless you’re in the drawing room you can’t know, doesn’t matter what view you have.
  18. The deep ball holm turned towards the line rather than inside which makes me think he had outside and BA had inside. But you’re right, no way of knowing.
  19. Was saying about swarmy. Im thinking it will be rose (not that I’m a fan, but they like him I guess) and parker at the corners and nichols/holm as HBs.
  20. That’s obvious 😂 Im excited to watch swarmy develop. You can tell they’re playing him off the ball as you would with a rookie but his tackling once he’s there is strong. I still think our guys on IR will swoop in and replace him and Houston eventually with rose and Parker however.
  21. NFL likes them a little bigger, should have specified my comparison in saying undersized. I’m from the states.
  22. Agree. Holm had an off second half, kept messing with his wrist it looked like? Rest of the season he’s been fun to watch. If he’s progressed this much since last season, I’m excited to see the rest. I’m a numbers guy so I will say that in terms of size, all of our DBs are undersized - that’s the cfl in general for DBs…. holm 5’11 182, daramy 5’9 176, houston 5’10 173, nichols 5’9 180, Lawrence 6’ 201, Parker 5’8 188, rose 5’11 172, McGhee 5’10 185, Muhammad 5’10 189. That makes him tied for second tallest and third heaviest. Not including safety or dime.
