  1. 1. I do. I see it as either a year or 2 of post-peak Collaros or 5-10 of Dru Brown, who I think will be top tier. 2. A high draft pick, plus maybe another later pick or an impact starter. 3. Probably save at least 200k the first year. I wouldn’t see Brown making more than 300.
  2. I recall exactly that, felt it then too. It’s been repeated, but the TC with absolutely zero competition for any vets rang alarm bells with quite a few of us.
  3. Remember what it was? I missed that I guess.
  4. Different take. I don’t think Bighill said anything that bad. The Bombers tow the line so well that when somebody’s forthcoming about anything to the media it seems like a big deal. The guy was frustrated with everyone (correctly) saying he shouldn’t have been in the game, so he told everyone what happened on the particular play. The whole issue is on MOS.
  5. Honestly, I felt this before the West Final. I didn’t want to say anything, but going into that game it felt exactly like the 2003 WSF.
  6. Augustine isn’t the answer if Brady goes. There’s literally hundreds of backs in the states that are faster, stronger and cheaper. We always start 8 or 9 Canadians anyway but… Starting just 7 is an option. Sliding Gray out to RT if Hardrick retires is an option. Going NI at safety is an option. (Hallet, Jake Kelly, draft/FA) All better than trying to find another Canadian RB. This team is built around an elite RB. Gotta have one or fundamentally change how the offence works.
  7. They’ll be hard pressed to make the playoffs without a few big changes imo.
  8. I think it was all covered. Zach should have either taken off or thrown it away and they kick the fg. Terrible play call at any rate. Running the ball would have made the most sense.
  9. So @Noeller Did you go to the interview?
  10. This would make me want to dial back my criticism of Zach from this particular game for sure. I’m still convinced they need to go with Dru Brown moving forward.
  11. And I’ll add this..That was the last time I have the sound on for a game on TSN. That was atrocious, and their bar is very low. Whoever said it on here was right, football is an annoyance to the network. I love the CFL forever but I unequivocally hate “TheCFLonTSN”. Everything about it. The hokey gimmicks, the panel, the production, the forced “humour”. The inane and idiotic announce teams. The 2000’s era graphics. You get Rod Smith doing play by play when the game moves too fast for him so all he can do is yell the players last name slowly. Or Neilson screaming like a preteen. They’re a sports network who don’t have a single person, not a SINGLE one who knows how to call a football game. That **** channel and their **** broadcasts are wrecking the league. For me it even took a little away when we won in 21.
  12. Not enough Giles Lezi’s these days..
  13. I know what cost us these last two Grey cups. Those god damned hockey jersey alternates. Just the fact that they exist. Messing with the uniforms was bad juju.
  14. Case in point. I’d disagree on Milanovich-Litre. That’s the kind of guy loser teams sign in FA. You’ve gotta be able to draft guys who do that stuff.
  15. Yeah the drafting’s a huge issue. They’ll barely have any starting quality Canadians at all in 2025 at this rate. We’ll have an aging Demski and Olivera, couple OL and 20 gritty special teamers from Bishops who run a 4.9 40.
  16. If O’Shea had his way, they’d have been trotting out Drew Willy well into 2017. Remember that.
  17. Not to just crap all over everything, but a legitimate question. Did Walters not make a single move or signing all season post-TC? Did he and the front office do anything at all? Who’s the last impact player they’ve scouted? Dee Alford? Cole? Something’s definitely weird in the organization and has been trending that way over a year now. Was Ringmaiden a bigger loss than we’d thought?
  18. Your guess is as good as mine. There’s a quite a few stupid reasons for it, and very few good ones. I don’t know that I’ve seen an OL get consistently knocked on his can as much as Kolo. Idgaf what John Hodge says. The guy’s sub-par and we all know it.
  19. For me the DL issue is the interior. Since Stove left, they don’t push the pocket at all from the middle. Either the ends collapse it or the QB gets all day. Furthermore, without Willie and all his knockdowns I’d bet the D would be dead last in yards allowed.
  20. And he shouldn’t be. Eli is a quality player I’m eating a ton of crow, but no he is not a bad QB. Still a goof, but he played well. Credit.
  21. Maybe he should be the Fullback then.
  22. The body really goes downhill fast after around 33.
  23. He has his good days but as a whole, it’s starting to look like the game is passing him by. Hasn’t ever really had an answer for max protect. It’s how Hamilton shitkicked us in the 2019 regular season. Tbh, I’m quite surprised more teams haven’t used it exclusively against us.
  24. Our secondary used to come flying down on everything and lay out big hits, right up until the beginning of last year. BA’s been playing much softer since his injury and they don’t really have any big hitters to make up for it. Parker can do it when he’s coached to. So can Nichols. The rest, I’m not sure either way.
  25. I don’t think it would have mattered. The offence couldn’t do anything anyway by that point. It’s not close. Put Collaros in that era and he’s slightly above average at best.
