Neufeld Addison Richards Adams last year was out longer than indicated but not whole season Drew Willy same thing as Adams
-
But what if it really is an ACL, and the team is just saying 4 to 6 weeks to keep the hopes of the fans an team mates up? It would not be the first time the Bombers had a player miss an entire season with a reported "4 to 6" week injury. This is how OShea rolls.

Odds and Sods 2018 X-game 2 - Bombers at BC Lions
TheSource replied to do or die's topic in Blue Bomber Discussion
Lankford played a very strong game and should be a starting receiver again. Simonise could be cut from that performance if he were not Cdn, but most likely will be on the PR. -
Reality is that if the O gives up one or 2 defensive TDs every game the defense has to play perfect for the whole game and shut the other team out to have a chance to win. And if the O goes too conservative and doesn't take risks to move the ball. then there will just be 2 and outs, the defense will be on the field too long, and will get worn out and cave. That has been the Bomber swan song for most of the last two decades.
-
In reality the D didn't do that badly all game. Difference was 2 defensive TDs for the Lions, but that is the type of thing they will have to endure every game while Nichols is out.
-
OK. I can buy that. It will be interesting to see how it works out next week. They will need to be tougher both against giving up explosion plays, but also about being passive and letting teams move the ball down the field. If they can't do that, the reality is that these games without Nichols will be blowouts, and not in a good way for the Bombers.
-
So if you have Fenner replacing Leggett, and Gaitor replacing Heath, and everything else in the secondary remaining the same, is that really an upgrade? This is a secondary that has been the worst in the CFL for the last 2 years in many categories (other than generating turnovers).
-
Yep. But he will be a starter, not a backup.
-
Fenner will probably be playing in Mo's position
-
He made some plays, but particularly in the 2nd half the BC QB had too much time back there. There was not enough consistent pressure.
-
So who starts in secondary? Loffler, Randal, and Gaitor are locks. Who will be the other two?
-
Give up more than he makes. He is Caramichael 2.0
-
Bomber secondary now looking like last year again. Bombers coming back down to reality
-
All good calls, in my opinion
-
Hope that he does not become the next Caramichael
-
Sayles Sux
-
More likely he's trying to get Jennings in a groove. Jennings is not looking good
-
He didn't want to get creamed
-
This is against most of the BC starters. Pretty impressive so far.
-
All 3 backups look capable of moving the ball. And I write this, look at that...
-
Bombers are going to be OK with their backups - perhaps even more than OK I would not shop for Durant or any other team's backups.
-
Bombers have improved their team speed on defense significantly. In addition, the receiving corps is going to give both those young QBs some targets. Both of those factors are going to help in weathering the period without Nichols.

No other rookie QB will look that good in this preseason. Book it. -

And compared to the Sask performance against those same Esk backups, Streveler looks much better. -

Comparing this to the last year, the Esk rookies looked about twice as good as the Bombers, but not this year. Bombers look to have brought in some very competitive young talent this year when rookies are playing rookies
