Very well could be. CBS has a lot of money invested in Weatherly & Bull so it'll be interesting how things play out.

Blue Bloods is my favourite on tv as of now & has been for almost a decade. Would like to see it make 10 years & finish the run of the show with Frank retiring. However, the ratings are down. Especially in the 18-49 demographic. It still consistently draws 8-9 million an episode which is down from the 10-12 million it was drawing just 2 years ago. CBS deserves to treat loyal fans of the show the right way & if it's determined the series will be cancelled then let it go out the right way & finish off some of the series ongoing storylines. I've never understood how NCIS remains such a ratings bonanza for CBS especially with the departure of Michael Weatherly, Cote De Pablo & now Pauley Perette. I swore off that show when De Pablo left 3 or 4 years ago. Perrette apparently left as she couldn't stand working with Mark Harmon. Things got so bad between them that by season's send last year she refused to be filmed in any scene with Harmon. This all stems from an incident where Harmon brought his dog on set. It attacked a member of the production team mauling him severely. Harmon was told not to bring the dog back but he ignored the directive & did so anyway. Perrette felt Harmon was being selfish & putting everyone at risk. They had words & an argument ensued. She felt his dog was a risk to attack someone else. Fed up she quit. When she left the series last year, she tweeted that Harmon is "dead to me". Speaking of Weatherly, just can't into Bull. I hear the ratings have dropped significantly for that show since last year as well.

Around the League: 2019 Off Season
So, I was mocked & chastised in late December when I voiced my frustrations about negotiations not starting on a new CBA. Relax, people said. It's Christmas & the 2 sides deserve a chance to rest after the season. Hey, they talk once a month so what's the big deal some of you said. They'll get at it in January. Well, in an interview with TSN's Dave Naylor this week, Randy Ambrosie told him that no negotiations have started & won't until late Febuary or early March which just about guarantees a deal won't get signed until sometimes in May just before training camps open, if then. Meanwhile our Commish worries more about Mexico & now freaking China while Rome burns around him.

Question - Who would you rather have. Randle or Bighill? Gotta clear space to sign him.

Hufnagel is loathe to sign name free agents as they cost money but these are different times.

If the Lions sign Reilly, it'll be that much harder for them to sign Bighill so let the bidding begin.

Wow, some coaches just bounce around. Stubler & Reinbold especially. Such is the nature of the biz, I guess.- Riel Discussion
Numbers shouldn't matter. Murder is murder. Riel feared for his life so he had him executed by firing squad. Judge, jury & executioner.- Riel Discussion
Why is Louis Riel's statue not taken down? He ordered Thomas Scott executed. .- US Politics
Interesting that US domestic policy is in the hands of Rush Limbaugh & Anne Coulter.- Around the League: 2019 Off Season

What do you think of that?- The MBB All-time Blue Bomber Team: Inside Linebackers
Just because you never saw them play doesn't mean you should dismiss them like they are nobodies. Burkholder won 4 Grey Cups. Played in 6. How many players can say that? That's up there with Dan Kepley. They were all great players in their own right. Most of the problem is with the CFL. The league & teams don't celebrate their past. Not like the NFL that glorifies its former star players. The majority of former CFL players are unknown.- The MBB All-time Blue Bomber Team: Inside Linebackers

I have a hunch... a strong hunch.... that Greg Battle wins this one so I'm going to vote for Phil Minnick. I saw him play & when he was healthy he was dominant in much the same way Wayne Harris was with the Stampeders. They played against each other at the time. Harris played on a better team during his playing days & had a more high profile career than Minnick. Harris was the CFL's version of D i c k Butkus & although he didn't have the size of Butkus he played 20 lbs heavier & had a similar mean streak to the Bears linebacker. Minnick was a bigger physical linebacker than Harris. He played nasty & was a tacking machine. He didn't have a lot of defensive talent around him most years & a lot of times he seemed to do it all on his own. It's too bad the CFL didn't keep tackling stats back then. It's also sad that most modern fans don't know of Phil today. Playing on very bad teams & his knee injury saw to that. - Halfway point of 2018/19
