  1. I was teetering that way but I pulled myself back from the edge of the precipice this past week. I may do a full swan dive though if we lose. Let's hope not.
  2. Nothing like a dose of the Als to quell the fever. The lunacy & the madness.
  3. The Source is predicting Adarius Bowman will have over 200 yards receiving today.
  4. So, the headline "Entitled One Versus Embattled One". Looked & saw Paul Wiecek wrote it. He always has to write a smart alecky, negative column. Never read it.
  5. Who are the players beside Ploen?
  6. That is a great photo!
  7. Johnny Stroppa;
  8. A Blue Bomber & a Toronto Argonaut hit the soggy ground of Varsity Stadium hard during the 1950 Grey Cup.
  9. Pulling Guard Ed Kotowich leads halfback Leo Lewis on a sweep in a game from 1962 vs the Ottawa Rough Riders.
  10. When Ken Ploen calls a meeting you better show up!
  11. From 1962, Gordie Rowland (24) & Farrell Funston (71) with some cool Blue Bomber hardware:
  12. Since he's now a Stampder, I've deleted Chris Matthews photo.
  13. Wide Receiver Geroy Simon as a Blue Bomber. Drafted by the Pittsburgh Steelers in 1999, he joined the Bombers the same year & played through the 2000 season when he joined the BC Lions where he became the CFL's all time leading receiver.
  14. Blue Bomber Offensive Tackle Bill Frank. He played for the Bombers from 1969-74. A multiple CFL All Star & All Canadian, he protected the blind side of qbs Wally Gabler, Benji Dial, Don Jonas, Ron Johnson, Chuck Ealey & Dieter Brock. Just a personal observation as I saw both players in action but he & Chris Walby are the two greatest left tackles to ever put on a Bomber jersey.
  15. ESPN got huge ratings the last time he played so I just went off that premise.
  16. But Wentz , Allen, Darnold, Rosen or Goff never would have been here anyway. It's apparent that some of them are pro ready. Any rookies we get up here aren't. As far as making a difference, would Jonathan Jennings have made an NFL roster or Pipkin. McLeod Bethel-Thompson was cut at least a half dozen times. The guys we get for the most part cycled out of the NFL, weren't drafted or had personal issues.
  17. A better photo of Buck Pierce.
  18. BC Lions quarterback Jerry Tagge trying to evade the clutches of Blue Bomber Defensive End Jim Heighton in a game at Winnipeg Stadium in 1977.
  19. It wasn't meant to be funny, Source. The guy was a warrior. I don't post any photos so players can be made fun of or mocked.
  20. Jim Spavital was a fullback for the Winnipeg Blue Bombers from1951-53. Later on, he was Head Coach from 1970-73. https://www.findagrave.com/memorial/12111525/james-joseph-spavital
  21. Before Ben Hatskin brought Bobby Hull & pro hockey to Winnipeg. Ben Hatskin owned a race car in the 1950's. So did my father. They competed against one another for a few years. Both my Dad & Hatskin hired professional drivers. It was just before my time from about 1951-54. I heard it was a lot of fun but time consuming & expensive as the car was always being worked on between races. Too bad I missed it.
  22. The story of Jeff Nicklin who gave his life for his country in World War II. He certainly was a hero. http://westenddumplings.blogspot.com/2013/08/the-greatest-blue-bomber-youve-never.html
