  1. Doan's only real legacy was he played a long time (21 seasons). He didn't even average 20 goals a season. He was a grinder to me.
  2. Yeah, there was nothing to like about him on CNN. These are the kind of people who work for Trump.
  3. Pisses me off.
  4. Very frustrating to watch. The Riders get all kinds of good luck. We have none of that.
  5. Medeiros lost the game for the Argos. Missed two FGs in the last 5 mins. #horseshoesuptheirass
  6. Man, if Toronto actually had a starting qb…
  7. That explosion you just heard are Rider Fan heads all blowing up at the same time! #argospick6
  8. Why can't they put 20,000 in the place?
  9. Simonise isn't as ready as Petermann. He should play slot & not Wolitarsky. Leave him where he is for now. Eventually Wolitarsky should move to slot. Probably not this year.
  10. Or we could inexplicably win. Man, I bet that you're the life of the party when you have a few drinks. Like the mattress salesman who says he has a passion for sleep & expects everyone there to share his passion. Or the life insurance salesman who ran out of family members to prospect. You must be a whole lotta fun.
  11. Thirty eight year olds just don't die in their sleep. He did have a weight problem when he played. His weight held him back as a player & led to his eventual release from the Stampeders. Never played for another team. But just so sad.
  12. Former Stamps DT Mike Labinjo has died much too young. Breaking news this afternoon... He was 38. https://www.stampeders.com/2018/09/22/stampeders-mourn-death-mike-labinjo/
  13. Can you see this team winning another game? Sorry but I can't. We play Edmonton on the road next week, then Ottawa on the road the following week, then the Riders & Calgary at home ending the season in Edmonton on the road. Yikes.
  14. Bombers came into that game so full of themselves that they thought Calgary would just roll over. They had no respect for the Stamps. Ritchie didn't have the team ready to play as they were too busy showing off in font of the cameras & talking trash into the mics all week. I remember being ticked off the entire time that Ritchie didn't put a lid on it. No way Calgary was the better team & yet they won.
  15. I thought it was brilliant.
  16. I remember a quote from Walters a year or two back where he said something like Canadian receivers aren't as important as they used to be. Kind of a dumb thing to say considering the play of Sinopoli & now Wolitarski. And our guy was ignored for most of the season before LaPo & Nichols clued in that he can play. No reason why he can't be a thousand yard receiver in the years to come. But talk about our GM just giving up on Canadian receivers considering all the former great ones that have played in the CFL.
  17. Can't see Ottawa winning this one but that's why the game is played.
  18. Wow, that's a lot of revenue but they have a lot of expenses obviously including the debt repayment program they are saddled with.
  19. Mike O'Shea started the day a loser of four He ended the day a winner of one Things change.
  20. Diesel's Power Bomb.
  21. Or he suffers a severe knee injury that affects his mobility but the team plays him anyway knowing he won't say no.
  22. He won't sign another contract to play here. That should make both he & the fans happy.
  23. Just look at 1986 to see where quarterbacking has headed (in a downward spiral) since: YVR: Roy Dewalt YYC: Rick Johnson YEG: Matt Dunigan, Damon Allen YQR: Joe Paopao YWG: Tom Clements/John Hufnagel HLT: Mike Kerrigan/Tom Porras YYZ: Conredge Holloway YUL: Joe Barnes YOW: Todd Burgess/Todd Dillon I think out of that class that every team today could have a great to decent starting qb. Kerrigan was a lot like Nichols but had a stronger arm & very good accuracy. Quarterbacked the Ti Cats to the Grey Cup over Edmonton that year. Definitely better overall qbs than today.
  24. Thirty two million? How did you come up with that number? I agree that most players were screwed except those athletically superior offensive linemen. Most of them are just taking it easy lying in the tall grass when it comes to the CBA.
  25. Quarterbacking is **** because of what we pay our rookies. Why would any qb or player want to come here from the US when they make $55,000 Canadian or whatever then have to lose money in taxes & exchange once they return to the States? The CFL is run by offensive linemen who are the most entitled & coddled group of players in the league today. For the most part, all CFL teams do is draft OL in the first round. So they get the big contracts & start before any other Canadian players get the chance at any other positions. Do you think they care about any other rookie players? The rookie salary has to be significantly raised to get good players to come here & perhaps stay. It's really bad now. Almost embarrassing.
