  1. I meant draft busts. I should have said that. My bad.
  2. Tyson Pencer. There's a name from the past. Anyone care to speculate who the biggest bust in Bomber history was?
  3. We're all judged by what we say here. Good & bad. I can't remember a positive T Burg post recently. To him there is always something wrong. That people here are just buying into the narrative the Bombers want us to buy into. That something is never right. He will argue the opposite if people are happy or satisfied. That's what I take out of T Burg's posts. As I said, we are judged here for what we say, I have no way to psychoanalyze the hidden meaning of something posted. If someone is always negative when good things happen then that to me simply means that person is always negative & may even welcome failure. I'm not into this... "Oh, he's a great fan but he just doesn't show it". I don't believe that. You either are a great fan or you're not. How many times have we read T Burg bitching after a win about something immaterial that happened during the game that had no affect on the score? Like a pick or fumble that turned out to be inconsequential. I mean, that's just typical T Burg. That's how I see it but like 17to85 said it's getting tiring always reading the negative when there shouldn't be any. And T Burg, lest you think you're in my head, I have you on ignore so you're not. The only way I see what you say is when someone quotes you. I read what you say after the fact & I just shake my head.
  4. You know, I've come to realize something. You're not about getting into some posters heads here because in reality they don't really care what you say. I think it comes down to you actually wanting the Bombers to fail. To not have a winning season. To not win a Grey Cup championship. Why else would you always be so negative?
  5. Space.... the FINAL frontier.
  6. just an aside but anyone notice Ed Olczyk is on NBC's Kentucky Derby coverage today?
  7. Hey, it's T Burg after another positive post about the Bombers.
  8. Yeah, play the vets & bring on the young guys slowly. Good plan.
  9. Well, Chris Merchant wasn't drafted but hopefully he gets a FA tryout with a CFL team to attend camp somewhere. Knowing Chris & his family, I know they're disappointed. My son didn't think he'd get drafted in 2016 & he never did. His agent told him 2 CFL teams were interested in bringing him to camp for a look see but that never happened. It's tough when a football career ends before a player wants it too but such is life. they just have to move on. My son now married & lives in Seattle. He is heavily into coaching qbs there so he's still in the game helping the next generation of qbs coming up in HS out there.
  10. I'm hoping Western's QB Chris Merchant is picked by someone. He's from Calgary & played on the same bantam team my son did albeit a few years later. I know Chris & his father real well.
  11. You're famous for blanket statements. We'll see what happens when training camp comes.
  12. I'm on the TSN website & it says the CFL Draft will resume shortly. Been like that since TSN Draft went off the air.
  13. How can you just say that?
  14. Yeah, territorial picks are so good for the league when it's Toronto & Montreal.
  15. Don't we CFL fans know it.
  16. Hearing Rod Black on these promos makes me shake with illness.
  17. Providing everything starts on time.
  18. How come I can't send you a PM?
  19. If a good OL is available at 4 or 5 I expect Walters will take him. It only makes sense to do so.
  20. Appreciate the love for the players from older eras as they deserve recognition as well.
  21. That's what happens when Vince pushes Baron Corbin on fans.
  22. What does our PM making an ass of himself mixing up China with Japan have to do with white nationalism? Stupid is as stupid does.
  23. His father Charles owned the Alouettes/ Concordes as well.
  24. Yeah, agree with that about OTC but football players know more than they let on, I believe. They all want to get bigger, stronger & faster. Some aren't prepared to put in the work in the weight room & will take shortcuts. When my son played for the Rifles back in 2009 & 10 he told me stories about the lengths some players went to avoid the random pee tests they were subject to.
  25. My son developed a pretty serious health issue his senior year at SFU where it required ongoing medication to control & 3 years later he is still on permanent medication to control it. Well, his doctor wanted to prescribe a certain kind of medication when it was first diagnosed but was unable to do so because that particular medication was on the NCAA banned substances (performance enhancing drug) list. Well, his physician tried other medications but they never worked as well as the one banned would have so he was constantly changing things up trying to find something that worked. As a result, it affected his performance on the field & he didn't have as good a season in his senior year that he did in junior. Physically, he never felt 100% all season. He was stressed out all season & worn down physically. Had he been able to use the proper prescription he would have felt much better. It's crazy how the NCAA controls players to the point of putting their health in jeopardy. Today, he is on the prescription that was banned & feeling much better. That's why I find it hard to believe that a player claimed he didn't know he was taking a banned substance & Lalji just believes him. The SFU doctors & training staff knew exactly what players could take & what they couldn't.
