I used to fish the Red River when I was a kid. We lived in Riverview so the river was very close. One time, I caught a 6 or 7 lb Silver Bass. I was so proud & I wanted my dad to see it. I thought he'd want to smoke or fry it up. He was heavily into fishing. He took one look at that fish & buried it on the spot in our garden. He wanted no part of any fish caught in the Red River.

Yes, you know who. But others have worn that number with pride & distinction. If I was a lineman that would be the number I'd want.

Thanks for posting. The number 64 is a hum dinger, let me tell you!!

We need a new football stadium desperately but the billionaire who owns the Flames & Stamps (Murray Edwards) along with the other minority owners won't spend a cent of their cash to build one. I don't think I've ever seen ownership that just doesn't care about the Stamps or their fans. The City of Calgary doesn't care either. It's really a sad situation.

Duke played at Alabama & came into the CFL as a rookie with the Riders in 1970. He then played one season with the Lions in 1971. He played 4 seasons for the Bombers from 1972-75. Never missed a game.

I have a 3 game Flex pack. I haven't picked the games yet but the Banjo Bowl is a given. Slight wrench has been thrown in as my wife's cousin passed away a couple of weeks ago & her family is planning a memorial either in June or July. My son & daughter in law in Seattle are going to Mexico in in October for their fourth wedding anniversary. We're going down for a week to house sit & take care of their dog. So, I'll have to work around those two committments.

Me, after I couldn't find a picture of former Blue Bomber Defensive End Jim Duke #65 anywhere in the Internet who was one of my favourite players back in the day. This may be the back door way for him to get the recognition I think he deserved. So be it.

Did you buy a Flex Pack?

The Greatest Offensive Lineman in Team history:

Watched Wrestlemania this weekend. Some of the matches like Becky Lynch vs Bianca Belair & Cody Rhodes vs Seth Rollins were outstanding. Others like Sammy Zayn vs Johnny Knoxville were cringeworthy. Zayn looks like he doesn't work out anymore being skinny with a gut. Not that he has ever looked like he spent any time in a gym, anyway. Speaking of cringeworthy, what the hell kind of a match was that with Pat MacAfee & Vince McMahon? MacAfee looked surprisingly good vs Austin Theory & then was forced to job for a 75 year old McMahon who had no business being in the ring at his age. Leave it to Steve Austin to come out to try & save that stinker by slapping around Theory, then putting the Stone Cold Stunner on Vince twice failing both times. The first time Vince timed his jump back too early & he fell back against the ropes. The second time McMahon appeared to slip & just fell down. Bobby Lashley slayed Omos who has sloth like speed & I'll say it here now. In 6 months, it'll be Omos Who? if he doesn't start improving. The guy can't wrestle. The big match for the unification of the two heavyweight titles was a dud which had a quick but not really a surprising ending. Vince's push of Roman Reigns continues so no surprise he won but fans are getting pissed off. Reigns needs to drop the title soon.

Harrison was a very good tackle & a Canadian which is nearly unheard of today. He protected Don Jonas' blindside during the brief resurgence of the team under Head Coach Jim Spavital in 1971-72 when the Bombers offensive line was the best in the CFL & were known as "The Hogs". Before Jonas, he also made sure that quarterbacks like Ken Ploen, Rich Badar, Lou Confessori, John Schneider, Luther Selbo, Rick Cassatta, Ron Johnson, Wally Gabler & Benji Dial were well taken care of as well.

Left Tackle Frank Rigney #67.
-
Offensive Left Tackle Chuck Harrison #67. Played for the Bombers from 1967-73.
-
Someone has to do it as our national media based in Toronto seem to think all Canadians care about are the Leafs, Raptors & Blue Jays.
-
Offensive Guard Nick Benjamin. (1961-2007). Played with the Bombers from 1989-93. Grey Cup champion 1990. RIP Nick.

Ep 24: Beer, Bombers & Ball LIVE at Brazen Hall!
SpeedFlex27 replied to Zach Schnitzer's topic in Blue Bomber Discussion
When I'm at the next Bomber game. I have a Flex Pack. Live in Calgary. I haven't picked my games yet as my wife's dumbass management won't approve holidays for the next year until mid April. Some people have been waiting since January for approval. What a shitty way to treat employees. Ah, time for a Whiskey & Coke. -
"Wait a minute. I'd have done that."

The sad part is nothing will happen to Putin. He'll be treated like a statesman once this war ends. Especially by the GOP in the US. Unfortunately, you'll be waiting a long time.

Lol!!! I stopped drinking beer many years before I ever drove a school bus. Always sober, I may add.
