  1. On the subject of retooling/rebuilding, obviously the GM plays a critical role. This brings me back to all the speculation recently swirling around Kyle W. Here’s some further admittedly speculation/scuttlebutt. A good friend, who is not a BS type, and who knows a club insider told me a month ago that the Blue have soured on KW because he is not engaged in his job. When I asked what that meant specifically, he said: “Like, literally, he’s never around and no one knows where he is.” So, as I say, a rumour which was a downer for me and which I wasn’t sure what to make of, but now the lame duck status has me wondering if there isn’t something real there. We’ll soon know I guess.
  2. Actually I didn’t miss that part. I know that Osh’s players love him for that. I just don’t agree that that’s how a coach makes decisions about who gets to play. Players love him for his loyalty and that’s why players want to come here and stay here. That’s a good thing. But when that loyalty is dialled up too high it becomes too much of a good thing. Strength tips into excess. And this excess leads him to start 2 injured players who have no business being on the field. Two players who ultimately compromise our ability to win. And that is not a good thing. Finally, let me be absolutely crystal clear - I do NOT blame Dalton Schoen or Adam Bighill. Of course they want to play! It is the coach’s job, however, to balance that sense of loyalty with realism… To make those hard decisions that actually give us the best chance to win versus give him the greatest chance of being loved in the moment. And I know O’Shea‘s philosophy is that ultimately his brand of loyalty pays off in the long run. But I think his practice and philosophy lacks balance and yesterday it cost us again.
  3. Yeah, so we’re playing a very obviously compromised Schoen over healthy options like O’Leary orange or Ambles. Go read the Winnipeg free press today and look for the quote where Schoen essentially says, “I can’t think of any other coach who would put someone who’s hurt in for a championship game after six weeks of no practice”. yeah, Dalton, neither can I.
  4. Make no mistake that’s a coverage sack. Still had four steamboats. But give the D backs some credit anyway.
  5. Highlights of the first half? Janarion is back. And Mike O’Shea actually used his challenge flag.
  6. Hmm… celebrating after you finally made a single play?
  7. Really struggling. Not really a legitimate MOP this year in my opinion. Not at all. Chad’s been consistently better.
  8. Son of a *****! Into double coverage another pic!
  9. Sweet play from the point guard!
  10. I don’t know man. He totally deserved it.
  11. Wow. Looks like a little baby toddler trying to tackle a full grown man.
  12. Please educate me about how the nationalized American is supposed to be used and how we are not using it. I’m sincere… You’ve talked a lot about this and I don’t understand it. Not because you’re not being clear, simply I am ignorant to the issue.
  13. Powell badly outplaying Zach
  14. Second down… Down by 13 points well into the fourth. Throw a 5 yard pass when you need 10.???
  15. Parker tackles himself
  16. Evan Holm makes the first tackle of the game on defence near the sidelines. Then follow that up with the pick…Maybe we need 12 undersized guys from North Dakota on D?
  17. Why are they getting a pass for fatigue?
  18. Man. Give them another possession? To start the half? man, you have to be confident that your defence has fixed their problems to do that.
