  1. Nah. Jake was good there. Regardless of what he actually did, he was good there. 😂
  2. And you know the most aggravating thing about today? Will be O’Shea’s unwillingness, no matter what happens, to insert his back up QB.
  3. Hate to agree. But do.
  4. Early 80’s. Edm. Wilkinson, 30 something year old vet. Having already piloted the Esks to at least two grey cups, if memory serves, recognizes the nature of the situation and graciously allows for a transition year between him and the Young future star quarterback, Warren Moon. That move, however, required the maturity of a vet to recognize the situation along with the intelligence and backbone of the franchise. We were, and are, 0 for 3 those things
  5. Starting Strev again reminds me of how we would never have won those two Grey cups if it was up to Michael O’Shea. The only reason Zach got a chance to do what he did in 2019 is that Strev became unable to start. Literally. He couldn’t walk. Otherwise MOS would’ve kept trying to start him out of “loyalty” and “the guy’s a warrior”. Facing Brown today reminds us again of the stupidity of this philosophy.
  6. Mace doing another thing MOS never does… Give his back up a chance to play
  7. Those 2 third down conversions don’t even have a chance to happen if it’s the blue bombers at this stage of a game. MOS Would’ve punted both times
  8. The best quarterbacks make football look easy. Streveler makes football look incredibly difficult.
  9. But what is your evidence that the reason we are losing is because of complacency versus the other team having better personnel and coaching? or maybe we’re just misunderstanding each other… Because I agree that coach O’Shea has a “just a few things to correct and we’ll get them next time“ attitude. And so I agree that making roster changes would be helpful. I just think that this regime has made it clear that it’s not willing to do that and also that in pro sports the issue is more likely about personnel than it is about intensity or complacency.
  10. Hmm… two issues I see with this… Number one, what evidence is there that the veterans will “start losing jobs”? The best predictor of future behaviour is past behavior. Secondly, not sure how much intensity is the issue or ultimately matters if the other team is just flat out better than you. That’s what Milt implied pregame. I mean, to overstate the situation to make my point, it doesn’t matter how intense I play against Jannik Sinner… I’m not taking a point. 😁 The riders are just better than the bombers. The stamps are just better than the bombers. And Edmonton and BC are comparable to the bombers. It’s hard to accept after the run we had, but we just ain’t that good.
  11. True. It starts with Zach throwing that absolutely miserable pick at the end of the first half. Then they just turn to absolute **** second half on cue. The lack of ability to adjust in the second half has also plagued us in all of the last 3 cups. It is a trend. And it’s on the coaches.
  12. I guess O’Shea will never get any heat, eh? I mean this team is not well coached
  13. Totes interference - right there - why not look up and knock the ball down instead of grabbing the guy?
  14. Harris, with no pressure, is able to get into that nice, three step drop, rhythm every pass…
  15. Not. Even. Close. sigh…
  16. In Strev we trust…sort of?
  17. Classic 3rd q fail. Bombers are really sucking. Hate to say…
  18. Yeah, was that RPO or just a drop back? Again, not sure you can heap blame on Hogan here… I mean, the quarterback has the ball in his hands with five receivers to choose from. What responsibility does he bear? He made the decision to float the ball deep… Off his back leg no less. Extremely irritating and happening way too often with Zach.
  19. Geezuz…idiot
  20. Just a hell of a defensive play… Sometimes you gotta just tip your hat
  21. They might just be better than us, eh? Like, not sure how you can blame the OC when the centre gets beat that clean. This offence is not as good all around as it was in past years under other OCs. I may get crucified here for not wanting to pile on Hogan more… 😁
  22. Different topic… But I’d love to see the bombers find a way to keep leaders like Biggie and Andrew Harris around… Bighill… Iike I know he’s in some denial and now in a support role in Calgary… But couldn’t we have convinced him to stay here as a coach? And it’s brutal see Andrew Harris helping the riders improve their ground game. These are both natural leaders that were critical in our last two grey cup wins. Winners.
  23. I think you’d have to concede that Grant was definitely a net plus during his years with the bombers. The constant threat he provided and the big play returns were pretty huge… No, I think the difference is he is now just on the wrong side of 30. I do agree with you, however, at this point he is not a big loss relative to Vaval.
