Cooper (6-3, 240, South Dakota, June 1, 1999, in Germantown, Maryland) joins the Blue Bombers after a five-year college career in which the first four years took place at Monmouth University and finishing his final season with the South Dakota Coyotes. The linebacker appeared in 53 games throughout that time registering 143 tackles, 15.5 tackles for loss, 7 sacks, and an interception Heiligh (6-2, 200, Coastal Carolina; born: September 2, 1999, in Venice, Florida) joins the Blue Bombers after a four-year college career with the Chanticleers. During that time, he appeared in 45 games and amassed 191 receptions, 2,825 yards, and 22 touchdowns. The wide receiver was twice named to the First team All-Sun Belt in 2020 and 2021. Heiligh set a Cure Bowl record by hauling in 13 catches and left Coastal Carolina as the programs leading receiver in yards and receptions. Before joining the Blue Bombers this season, Heiligh spent time with the Cincinnati Bengals during their 2022 training camp. VAJ is no where close to the type of pocket passer that Rourke was/is. He'll be an upgrade over the junk they trotted out before but IMO they wont be near the dominating scoring machine they were before. VAJ is also prone to brain fart game-altering throws, something Rourke mostly avoided.

When/if he does come back up here there is virtually zero chance he signs with us. The current QB situation in the CFL is atrocious. Theres atleast 3-4 teams that he could start for. Do you want to come back and make peanuts backing up Collaros or make starter money in Edmonton, Ottawa etc?

Maybe but his his window to make NFL $$$ is quickly closing. He'll always be able to come back up here. Gotta strike while the irons hot. People have short memories and there isnt going to be much demand for a soon to be 28 year old journeyman QB with 25 career regular season pass attempts. IMO he spends the rest of this CFL season looking for work down south.

Zero chance he ends up back here this season IMO. No way he doesnt get another look from a different NFL team after his pre-season performance. Or at the very least lands on a practice roster.
