Once we get a lead no doubt he gets more and more conservative. He hasnt become aggressive by any means. Merely less conservative early with deep plays.

On the whole we are putting up a lot less pass attempts and plays early this year because of explosive plays. I think its too soon and too small a sample size to say woli or demski are notably better or worse. But demski also is seeing less useage. Also dresslers production was fairly similar to whitehead as a wr. But with less high percentage plays to this point last year. Sts and field advantage has also been even better this year which contributes to the fewer plays and more scores.

With the limited time from mathews, lack of use for adams and woli + lawler being a bust so far I wouldnt say this group is performing drastically better then what we had last year. Many reasons play into success and failure. I think with another year plop has gotten less conservative, nichols has eased into deep balls and improved slowly, and the offense and team as a hole expects to succeed. The teams mentality and level of execution has improved each year under this regime.

Catering to the TV crowd is important. However, it hurts the quality of the game for TV as well if you dont have enough butts in the stands. I think the happy medium would be having a prestige match up on thursday, a game of the week (monday night football up north) pushing the western start times earlier, and as some one stated running sunday football untill the NFL starts up.

Whats really funny is this is probably the best front office / administrative move and execution by the als in years. Id be interested to see how they would fair with MBT / fajardo as their QB. And itll be interesting to see if the als have to go on a cost cutting spree to get back under the cap.

Some Interesting stats. Of the 5 league leaders in ST tackles, 3 are bombers. Medlock has the 2nd most kick off and punt yards. Fenner is our only player in the top 10 for tackles. And he is in a 5 way tie for 5th. Our DL has 6 sacks, charleston hughes has 5 and leonard has 4. In 4 games streveler has 5 tds, and lucky has 3. Harris has 2 tds through the air this year, and none on the ground yet. Nichols is averaging 1 td for every 9.8 pass attempts. Mike reilly is averaging a td for every 33.6 pass attempts (and is tied for 4th in the league in td passes) Our D is extremely balanced, with pressure and tackles coming from all over the field. Our sts has been scary good in every facet this year. And our offense is extremely explosive. With virtually every one scoring, and yet still not healthy or firing on all cylinders.

In the next few weeks we could well see the Als pass the .500 mark. When was the last time that happened?

I really really hope this is the last we have seen of Reed in the CFL. Better management in Sask was good for the league (addition by subtraction) Reed canned, khari taking over the HC job, what could be stable owners with local roots for MTL, alot of good things happening this year. Tor still needs to be fixed but that won't be quick or easy.

To be fair kongbo was hurt and others we've picked have been or coming off injuries too. Yeah rode poor buck into the dirt. I think in the off season Mack is replaced by an elite teams top Scout or co gm. With our guys being prime targets.
