Whats really crazy is if you go back further we did the same thing switching from Leggett and randle too. The mafia has pinned down the exact type of guy it takes to excel in our system and we've rotated through a lot of guys to great success. If next year we have to replace 2 dbs again, I wont have any concern. The only guy I think would be critically hard to replace is alexander. Its like the legion of boom. He is as good at the short passes as nichols was, he just doing look to short throws unless he has to or its wide open. His accuracy and touch are the best in the league. Nichols was never able to turn his receivers up field with passes and put a lot of balls by toes and well behind targets. Its why collaros can throw short passes and average 10+ yards per completion vs nichols struggling with 6 or 7 max. Go back to the edmonton game, that first quarter collaros put on a short passing clinic. He constantly got the ball out fast enough and put it in a position where his wrs could run down field before the DBs got on top of them.

I think you are confusing emotion with a lack of discipline. The Bombers play with great emotion that's the key to physicality. The riders play out of control and get in pushing and shoving a lot after the play. They take more dumb penalties than any other team.

To me it looks like who ever we like in their match up is being run into the zone vacated by the linebackers who are playing a tite gap alignment to take away the run game. Last game we did the same with demski. We run off the s and either force a db into trail position or let them find the soft spot in zone. Yankee concept is deadly play action when you have a strong run game. The first few weeks teams took away our run game after Hamilton. It took a bit but buck has been really exploiting different openings based on defensive tendencies vs what we do. Jeffcoat running that down from behind on lucky no less at the sideline was super impressive. Guys like the Jeffs have the ability to blow up any kind of offensive scheme. They are extremely hard to play rpo spread to run and screens against.

Probably. We've shown it a few times. Honestly it's soo against the grain you'd have to set it up by running a post snap motion draw or Shovel Pass. Then the d would have go make a hard choice about Gap assignments. Otherwise the d can and has pass rushed and dropped into match zone.

Buck has been getting better with each game. He still makes some silly calls like empty back field twice from the 5. But he's really been adapting great to what the defense shows. The last 3 weeks we've had deadly good use of play action.
