  1. On a crazy side note, if we signed strevy to a 200k deal and started him at rb while having him as a back up qb, any one think he would run for less than 1200 yards? Imagine those gadget designs lol. Maybe roster an ni qb who can do some thing else as qb3.
  2. Yep if some one gives him 200k plus I’ll be happy for him and all. With our scheme and ol we could plug nearly any import rb in and get 1200+ yards with ease. It’d be very easy to find a similar power back but with way better top end speed who would break a lot more huge runs. I love Brady and I hope he stays on a reasonable contract. But what are the chances he matches last year or improves on it?
  3. Varies guy to guy. We don’t often have end up with our NL QBs here. The dl and dbs pretty high chance. I’d say very good chance we see two or more just of that list in this camp. Hart is gonna be 28 next year, hasn’t played at all this year after being a fringe guy for 3 years. Don’t see many fringe 5’8 180 guys pushing close to 30 in nfl tcs. I’d bet between 3-5 are signed for rookie camp. Redmon is a guy who could be down south a long time based on athleticism. I’m not betting on any of the QBs being here this coming season.
  4. I wonder if we see the worst of him now too, since he’s finally gotten over the hump and got gc mop too.
  5. I feel like getting it as a qb is really hit or miss. Either you’ll have a team love you and fall into it, or struggle to get any active roster time at all and bounce prs a lot.
  6. Praise is an interesting guy likely to be in camp imo. Not the raw athletic type, more polished and a really good football player. A lot like Habba imo. Redmon is a dt not de. Buts he’s got elite athleticism for a de as a very lean 6’2 290. Fits in great with the second pass rushing dt like walker. https://www.nfl.com/prospects/jalen-redmond/32005245-4461-3410-5102-5e80a97e82ca Ayers is a great prospect wil/smallish mlber. https://www.nfl.com/prospects/michael-ayers/32004159-4555-9722-5f4b-57ce957d05e3 Grownowski is an elite blue chip qb prospect in the cfl. I imagine it’ll take a while for him to work his way up if an nfl coach doesn’t fall in love with him. Witherstone is a big strong db, excellent tackler, big time play making potential, explosive first step and jumping. Not a guy who plays db because he’s small and can’t play wr. He’s got huge upside.
  7. Brings him closer. The hard thing is getting the games played for fringe guys. I wonder how much he will make if he finishes on the active roster.
  8. I think I was looking at his pre renegotiated rate of 260k. 8/13 not including QBs is still pretty high. More imps than ni on that list too.
  9. None. Among imps it’s very limited too. Not including QBs, lawler. Though I haven’t seen the details on wjs newest deal. Lewis makes more. Not many guys in general other than QBs make more money than Willy.
  10. To think if they pulled the plug appropriately early they could’ve sniped some one like goveia, Ringmaiden, etc. I kind of feel like they are going to wait for edm to fire jones and bring him in as a gm and hc in waiting.
  11. Interesting, in that case I expect nothing to happen. I sure would like to hear that he talked to Bruce, the team, etc and that he was good to go. Actually, how did he skip the draft/supplemental then?
  12. They will have their work cut out for them just to match last years production.
  13. I wonder if the cfl will uphold his contract. He was suspended from the ncaa and ruled ineligible for transfer. He was gambling on his own games including shaving points. I think it’d be cool to have Bruce the 4th in the league. And I think being a second chance league is what it’s all about talent wise for Americans. But man, shaving points is bad business. Doesn’t make sense to me to uphold other leagues drug suspensions but not gambling on their own games and throwing.
  14. Man on man I hope they paid his ass well lol. Realistically I suspect the market for brown as a starter will be Edmonton and Calgary. I think ott, ham, ssk, would be interested as a qb1b to push a guy and maybe take a job. It’ll be interesting to see how qb fa shakes down. I think the chances of a brown return are going up for us.
  15. Score can’t be reflected on one aspect of a team. Reductio ad absurdum. Our defence was terrible at tackling. Our kick cover teams were miserable. By your standard, it was all great. We do not do things on the dl to aid our lbers. We literally do the exact opposite. Our lbers funnel support entirely to dl and dbs. That’s why our tackle and plays made totals are always low at lber. You are completely and hopelessly lost and with out understanding at a basic level of how defence and our defence works, and is graded. Most every one did. The collapse was as complete or more so than our 01 gc collapse. Doesn’t mean guys are undesirable. he’d be a stellar pick up too. The Argos D is jam packed with talent. It’s ridiculous, and I’m sure teams are gonna feast on them in free agency.
  16. Laremy tunsil went from possible no1 and top5 consensus to possibly falling down to 3-4th round then the dolphins grabbed him at 13 and made out like crazy. Wasn’t it his dad or some thing that did it to sabotage him? Lucky whitehead got screwed even harder. Apb for some one matching his description. Had an alibi that involved the team, didn’t care they cut him. No charges quickly realized he was innocent and he was the wrong guy but doesn’t matter to the nfl. It’s messed up.
  17. No they don’t. Go look at the pressure per offensive snaps. It absolutely does. How many times did we see pressure that lead to a big qb rush or throw last year? All the difference in the world.
  18. Good point it doesn’t sound like they are doing a search and interview process.
  19. Wow that’s a huge shake up. Strange jump from hc to president. Wonder who their hc will be. June jones I imagine?
  20. Nope. Dee Alford was an nfl talent and didn’t get a whiff. Lots of guys fall between the cracks. That’d be nice to get kongbo back.
  21. Woods is a tall lean 3-4 4i/end tweener. That projects as a regular cfl dt not a nose. I didn’t see any snaps with him lined up on the nose in college. Remember stove was a 300lbs nose at like 5’10. Woods is 4-5 inches taller and slim for his weight. He could twist into the nose some but I don’t think he’s gonna be a cfl nose. He does have great mobility for a dt though. He’s like a heavier Ricky walker.
  22. Toronto rotates every one in their front. Including the best lber in the league for two years. Oakman is a top tier nfl talent, you don’t end up in the cfl being a guy like him or Willy with out knocks.
  23. We did, but we did not generate consistent pressures, and we didn’t do it with out sending extra guys. Willy j hit the wall hard last year, jj missed most of the year, Thomas was completely burned out, etc. those numbers also take into count db and lber pressures, coverage sacks etc. our west final was almost all coverage sacks.
  24. Good for him gonna be a nice pay day. And bring him closer to pension. I’m sure he will have atleast partial pension next year.
