  1. I’ve never heard that but I wouldnt be surprised. I lol’d pretty hard at that too. I wonder if no2 QBs, or back up QBs in general make more money than starting RBs.
  2. Tbh you could take and one of their front 6. They scout develop and deploy soo damn well on the front. Not shabby with dbs either but I feel like they more so hit on dbs. They are a mill churning out good front 6 guys.
  3. Very true. Harris was dog poop in edm, even worse than ssk imo. But a bit better in mtl.
  4. Maier is a good point, I’d go maier over Harris as it’s possible maier improves. I don’t think Harris would be good on our squad. harris used to be a guy who put up yards but not scores. Now he’s a guy who gets sacked lol.
  5. Interesting that he played two g and T spots. Looks like he’s a guard by nature though. But a big ass guard. I actually prefer shorter stocky interior ol. I think being tall makes it tougher in the cfl. looks like the pats brought him to convert him to T long term. Guy played a crazy amount of snap with out giving up a sack, even for a guard. 500 in one year with no sacks allowed and went 900 snaps with no penalties against. Played with a mild pain near his stomach. Then a couple days later he had ruptured his appendix and played through it, and lived with it. Then didn’t want to have the surgery till after the season and wanted to miss no games lol. Tough business. And he played against some monster nfl prospects. Not hard to see what they like about him.
  6. I mean in terms of league kr/roster players. I’d take him returning kicks over the guys we’ve had the last few years not named grant, but yeah we should be able to throw a rock at a fa camp in the us and hit 6 guys who can kr. We just fall in love with the worst return men. I’d love him as a di rotating at rb, but I don’t think he’d do that. Carey would imo. I don’t trust stanback to block catch or stay healthy as a no1. Damn shame. id be happy for him if he bounces back though. Love watching that guy run.
  7. If you rank the QBs in the cfl among starters the only guy who would be bellow Harris is blm imo, and he’s not gonna be a starter this year I’m sure.
  8. Idk who is in the market to pay big bucks to another teams fas? Edmonton? Might not be a sellers market. In oday we trust… continue to tank dude!
  9. A lot of this has been touched on to death, but if we do a platoon at rb (we should but likely won’t) I’d love to see grant get more touches. He’s such a deceptively strong guy and tough runner he’d be great to get more looks. If we do lose grant I wouldn’t be against a home coming for lucky if he’s at a reasonable price. Morrow could also be and option but not a fan.
  10. Honestly you summed up perfectly the average sports fans of most teams in most leagues. I like whitehead, Carey, wieneke as bounce back guys in the right position. But it’d have to be cheap incentive laden deals. No way I’d want to give those guys much money.
  11. We let Harris walk after many great seasons. I don’t think it registers to them at all.
  12. Yeah I heard it was tweeted I think by naylor so extreme grain of salt. Though it does make sense. how crazy would it be if bo went to to and oullette came here? Also does make sense though tbh if we go away from Brady, I’d rather bring in a crop of cheap rookies and a cheap incentive laden flyer on a vet like Carey I love that deal for him and for us. That’s a win win.
  13. A handful of guys league wide have renegotiated deals to get more upfront money and less salary as if some how reduces their taxes. Even in those moves it doesn’t seem like big cap savings. Maybe 1/3rd of a base rookie contract. I don’t think any one, other than strev, has taken an extremely team friendly deal. Strev as much has bet on him self in this contract as well.
  14. Get kongbo back and ford. Tons of versatility. Apparently naylor says Brady wanted 300k. And came down to 250. If it’s true, which isn’t far off the numbers every one was thinking he’d ask, It makes sense why a deal isn’t done. If no one else grabs him at 250 in the first week I actually like our chances of getting a reasonable 200k ish with incentives included. I can see some one giving him 250k possibly though.
  15. Did Noah come back? I remember he had a bad injury and was injury released. We are deep at kick cover safety’s that’s for sure. I wonder if we try to move exhume (if he’s back) or Kelly to Sam to back up Kramdi. didn’t say he did, last word masoli was coming back and well on track. That’s an incredible amount of talent ott has at qb. And more young guys with experience than you can shake a stick at. It isn’t though. Especially not with the lack of continuity having reps together. Hope not. None of our Ss are guys who can cover that much ground and make plays in the pass game. If ford comes back that’s a great spot to flip. Other wise I’d go after an ni lber but we won’t.
  16. Korny and Rosery are back. idk it’s early to tell. Our ol is extremely up in the air with age and contracts. Ott has a really good qb stable too with brown crum Adams pigrome and masoli. That’s gonna be a hell of a tc battle, though I expect some one to be cut early.
  17. Where do I sign up for that deal? but most of that field is leveled now for minimum salary. It is very fungable though and no deals are guaranteed. Augustine was capable of earning more money, he had more incentives but he didn’t hit them or come close to making them out he had a 91k min and a 120max. But he didn’t hit 1k yards rushing and maybe eclipsed 51% of the snaps at rb once last year. Vs Brady who had 100/114k and hit all his incentives.
  18. Miller made 95k last year. He did get more, but not nearly enough. Walker was seldom off the field as well. I think Lawson is going to break out in a big way this year
  19. My only issue with Lawson, is he didn’t play enough. Guys a monster. For the cap numbers the only thing I’d add is that it’s heavily skewed for us when you factor in Zach, and even what will likely be our top 5 all earning outlier money. Let’s say Zach 600k, and the next 4 (likely wj lawler Bryant and one of schoen/brady) average 225k. That’s 1.5m/5.585m at just 5 guys. Leaving 40 to split 4.085m, if we leave no cushion and rely on cutting guys to make changes or ir saved money. That’s 102,125 now, vs the minimum of 70k. If you break down the next 5 highest paid guys, and average out the rest over 35 it drops to probably the mid to low 90s. If you then pay your 7 starting candians plus 3 key ni back ups an average of 100k, which would likely be closer to 125k in average, the number slumps even further. There was actually. Behind Jackson in particular we have spent the last 3 drafts stocking guys for that kind of role. Any taman napkin name ni or imp at fb te lber or de could’ve filled that role and been an upgrade either by ratio or talent. Same with faith the de edition.
  20. The same reason Jackson and Bennett held roster spots.
  21. Early to tell this year, we haven’t had a significant raise like this since zachs contract after 2019. Maintaining on a team retaining most but not all players while still losing guys is different than retooling like we have to now. 50k is 50k, we need to be cutting the fat and saving not the opposite. That’s a base American cut for a base American though. Makes us much better talent wise but doesn’t save us money.
  22. 50k raise to the worst starter on our team when Brady and schoen are pending fas going to get a huge raise each.
  23. We could run 2 QBs on the active roster and keep the 3rd/4th on the pr to see some cap hit. Not a big fan of 2 QBs but gotta do what you gotta do.
  24. Juked. If you get trucked by a qb you never live it down. Almost as bad as getting whupped by a kicker eww
