  1. Wow. He’s a damn good young ni wr but man I wouldn’t wanna be paying him that.
  2. I don’t think he’s average at all. He’s def more raw than that but with much more upside. No doubt he’s a dangerous guy with the ball in his hands. As a rb I think he’s better than average. As a wr he needs to get a lot better to be really good. But as a guy who can do both he doesn’t need to be as good a wr. I’d love to see him really focus on catching punts and being our back up returner too. the mafia have shown they can really find gems at wr. Collaros has really taken advantage of a lot of great talents we’ve brought in over his time here. I don’t doubt that this year we will again see an insane battle at wr. No one is getting a spot easily. Im very pleasantly surprised grant is back and before fa. I really thought the late contract and low cost last year would’ve hurt us. Says alot about him and the team that this is where he wants to play. Love the guy, explosive and tough as hell. With the nagging injuries I’d like to see him either split returns or just return full time.
  3. I wonder what gittens got. Could drive the price up for demski. I like seeing guys resign it’s good for the league. I think lawler will bolt unless edm gets a good qb.
  4. It’s competitive for rookie free agents for sure. For cfl vets? Not even close. Though taxes and travel could factor in. It’ll probably affect guys in Toronto and bc a lot more. The living expense being what it is.
  5. He did heat up late though. I feel like he was lost with Harris and in that offense. I don’t think it’s on him. That’s the best value guy in free agency imo
  6. I love what Bailey brings to the team. I think he could step up and become a 1k wr. That said what he brings isn’t worth huge money imo.
  7. He was out of football coming into the cfl remember. And coming off a major knee injury. He played at the end of 2017, then didn’t play 2018 or until summer of 2019 here in tc. Nearly two years.
  8. That and sayles would be nice. Walters n co have already done a lot of the heavy lifting going into fa. We are going to lose less guys this off season than any in a while.
  9. Kolo has done some thing really impressive. For a guy his age with as few reps as he came here with to become a solid back up who can step in in an emergency that’s pretty amazing. I sure couldn’t see him going further and becoming more than that. I’d be happy if he stuck around as depth but I’d be very worried if we went into 2023 with him as a starter for the year. Especially with gray Eli and Dobson around. We’ve had guys with the physical tools and nastiness like Dobson and Eli before. But never with the pedigree and polish as well. Guys like Rupert butcher work out hero not guys who had legit shots of becoming nfl players or first round picks. for me the two best case scenarios are Eli starts at centre and Dobson at guard with gray as 6th man or re sign couture with eli at guard. Gray is soo much better suited to being a rt in the long run. And better as the te in heavy set.
  10. Agree. That’s kind of the nature of guards and why they don’t stand much of a chance at mol. probably right I can’t imagine us adding 300k to our sms for interior ol. Demski lawler lots of guys could have a bigger impact. Still sad. Eli. Dobson could back up as well.
  11. Drew is worlds better than suhk. Suhk was good on a great line desjarlais was great on a great line. Heart breaking. Though gray Dobson and Eli is a ton of depth. Is it crazy money yeah, but if you are gonna give a crazy money contract out I’d give it to a 25 year old with rings fresh off the nfl who happens to be the best at his position in the cfl and is an ni. Far better than giving lawler 300k imo. Or giving blm 500k+
  12. Ssk fans think so. I see a few other teams that could be after him. Some one will give up a first for him. Ssk, edm, first team with a qb to get hurt, etc.
  13. Agree 100%. now watch edm go after Dane evans and Toronto bring back cf as a back up.
  14. Naylor also said it’s 500k per season. That’s breaking the bank imo.
  15. Tbh if he gets an offer after the bombers will cut him and let him go as long as it’s well before camp.
  16. Seen more than enough gut wrenching injuries don’t need to watch more high lights of it.
  17. That’s wrong. He started all his games as a junior and sophomore ar Maine at right guard. And he played at 4 different spots in texas as they had a rash of injuries and inconsistency at ol. But you also swore he was up weight when he very clearly dropped from his college time. https://goblackbears.com/sports/football/roster/liam-dobson/4743
  18. If any thing I think he’s bc bound. im not sure ssk understands that they actually need to build an ol and dump the junk. I wouldn’t be surprised to see atleast 4 starting ol and fajardo all back this year.
  19. Dobson also had iirc two starts at tackle reps in Texas. Often happens with elite interior ol on mediocre ol.
  20. I don’t blame you or any one else. I still have those feelings especially seeing Canadian flags on cars etc but I don’t want to derail things into the political. agree 100% Good on you for owning it too, that’s hard and most people don’t try. Hats off sir. Yeah for sure. It’s hard to comprehend getting one shot refusing the second and missing the gc because of it.
  21. Qft. If any one looks back at the posts from 2022 that involved him you see a ton of vitriol, dismissal of his talent, ethic etc.
  22. Wonder if he was hurt and didn’t want surgery. That could be why it took soo long to rehab. Just a wild guess though. Did he have a kid? Imagine if desjarlais came back and we had drew eli and Dobson on the inside. Half the posters on this board would get 5 yards a pop. the fact it’s a 3 year deal is big to me. He’s a stud and that screams they trust he’s healthy and as good as ever. To me this really sounds like they don’t expect couture back. Dobson is a natural guard who can play centre. Eli is a guard who could start at any inside spot in the league but is best at center.
  23. https://3downnation.com/2023/01/17/lamar-goods-highly-touted-son-of-former-cfl-all-star-bennie-goods-transfers-to-manitoba-bisons/ this I guess?
  24. I think biggie would be fine at wil but he can’t be the guy who fills a gap on every running play any more. People think it’s speed he’s losing but it’s quickness and explosiveness. He doesn’t get off the ball quick any more. He can still scrape as close to side line to side line as any one. having no nose made Willy jeffcoat and biggie struggle. People forget how many big runs we gave up while stove was out in 21. Teams gouged us but the rest of the d was just soo damned good. When stove came back it turned the defense up to 11. Drake Nevis coming in was a huge turn around in the first place for our d.
