  1. I like Copp. But bolstering our D is more important and Im looking forward to seeing Perfetti in action! "Although Schmidt is left-handed, prior to arriving in Vancouver he typically played on the right side. Normally, right-handed blueliners play on the right side, while left-handed defenders play on the left side. He thrives when doing the opposite." From Google
  2. Ain't gonna be easy to fit everyone into the salary cap and fill out the holes in thier roster. Potentially Copp gets traded to get some draft capitol back. We might end up just lining up two defenseman at a time on the left side.
  3. I'll be there to see it. Looking forward like you wouldn't believe
  4. I would love to see that. Not sure Maurice has it in him.
  5. But for this season i imagine the pairings will be Morrisey/Demalo, Dillon/Pionk, Stanley/Free Agent. Im hoping we can get Hamonic on a hometown discount.
  6. Found this old article but its great to know he's comfortable playing on both sides. https://thehockeywriters.com/san-jose-sharks-brenden-dillon-versatile-defense/ “A little bit, there’s pluses and minus to both. I think when you’re coming back defensively, and a guy has a step on your right side being a lefty, the stick is a foot or two further in front. Hopefully, you don’t put yourself in that situation, but if you’re on the left side, you have to reach across your body to get stick-on-stick. For me, I’m comfortable playing either side.”
  7. I thought for sure there would be bigger money out there for him. Nice depth piece.
  8. I wonder if there would be an interest in Naman Roosevelt who was released by the Als but would have familiarity with Collaros.
  9. We always seem to have a good player fall to us. I have high hopes for this guy. I know we all like Canadians but I like drafting Americans who are going to college. You end up getting more out of thier entry level deals imo. They are more physically ready for the nhl when you sign them playing in college rather than in the juniors. Say what you want about Chevy he has assembled an amazing scouting staff and with Perfetti and Lucius in the system there is plenty of optimism for the future of our top 6 as guys like Wheeler age out.
  10. Id love to see Alex Suber develop a scheme to stop this guy when we play ottawa. wait? We don't play ottawa
  11. Watching Liegghio get interviewed he doesn't strike me as a guy who lacks confidence. He's also not the kind of kicker you want to meet in a dark alley. The guy is jacked!
  12. He was listed at 230 on draft day. Im hoping that 1 is actually a 7
  13. Personally I think Liegghio is going to be a very good kicker. Im looking forward to enjoying the brief period of time when we are no longer worried about whether he can get the job done and we aren't yet worried about him taking a crack at the NFL.
  14. For this season a 2nd global player would need to take a DI spot. However, i've looked at the rules regarding CFL rosters and it doesn't state that a CFL team must start "X" number of players. It does state something about how a DI must come in for a Import starter. The rules don't indicate that a global must come in for an American starter. Did anything pay close enough attention in 2019 during the times that Hansen was on the field to know this one for sure? I sure didn't!
  15. Chris Larsen was released after his incident but he's now been completely cleared of any wrong doing. He might be an option to bring in.
  16. What do you guys know about Sam Williams? This aptly named DB played a few games for the Riders back in 2017 at Sam linebacker. I wonder was he released and bounced around or was this a guy who tried some of the other leagues?
  17. Yeah not to mention Hansen who can come in for a Canadian or an American. So that's effectively 3 solid players and only need one on the field at a time.
  18. https://3downnation.com/2021/07/08/edmonton-tackle-colin-kelly-suffers-torn-pec-in-training-out-three-to-five-months/ Colin Kelly who I believe is Edmonton's right tackle starter is out 3 to 5 months with a torn pec.
  19. Given there is no preseason I wonder if they don't use one of those di's to take a look at players over the coarse of the first few weeks.
  20. Assuming Leggy is going to be our kicker/punter how do we see the extra DI being used? A linebacker to improve special teams or a defensive end?
  21. Maybe we are holding out to see what happens with Streveler. He's going to be in tough to stick in the NFL this year. Never know with a guy like Medlock and his relationship with Oshea. Maybe he's will to come out of retirement if Liegghio struggles.
  22. These kind of guys rarely make an impact in the CFL. If he can stay healthy and comes into camp with the right mindset he could be the one that actually works out. Still think its tough for him to crack the starting lineup. He would have to beat out Bailey.
  23. It was kind of funny. This church made a big deal out of religious oppression (which is a joke) and planned to go forward with a service with no capacity limits. It turned out not enough of the flock decided to show up so they ended up being below the 25% capacity mark. I think also that the media doesn't need to cover this stuff because it ends up making national headlines and extreme libertarians across the country are emboldened by it.
