We are at the beginning of this hopefully becomming less of a serious injury. An injury that puts you on the shelf for 6-8 months instead of a year is still a serious injury. One guy having a speedy recovery is a pretty small sample size. A torn knee ligament like Adrian Peterson had is still a serious injury, and just because he came back super fast doesn't make it the norm.

Our guys signed without even hearing what other teams were offering. Huge difference.

It isn't crude to use it, it is flat out wrong. It applies when you have signed on. You don't get it. He earned every ******* cent he got from us and more. I don't regret one ******* penny, no it wasn't an "overpay". It goes way beyond stats and he earned it even just off stats. That guy (literally) carried the flag for our team and our city and put that pride in the locker room. He is an all time clutch performer who only gets better in big moments. He is/was the face of the team and a true leader off and on the field. If he leaves it is a gigantic hole. One of the greatest Manitoban athletes of all time.

FIFO has nothing to do with getting paid. It has nothing to do with believing you are worth an amount. Anyone who would say that has no idea what it means. If anyone on this board thinks FIFO applies to Harris that is trash, and quite frankly, infuriating. Harris never had to come here, he certainly never had to re-sign here, and he should not be thrown aside disrespectfully. That guy gave everything he had and did everything he could to win. Some people on this board are lacking the appropriate level of respect for an all time great Bomber and CFLer.
