  1. They just re-signed Teitz to play WIL They moved Thurman to MLB and are starting two NI next to him
  2. He needs to be willing to leave some on the table. $160k is an impossible number. If he is hard on that number and can get it somewhere else then I am happy for him. I don't like people kicking him out the door like he is washed. He isn't. I didn't like the Bombers allegedly not even offering him a number and letting him walk. That is disrespectful. I don't like this "the team wasn't happy with him at the start of the season" bullshit. He wanted to play they wouldn't let him. He walked in after 2 years off, no pre-season, and an injury, and had an immediate impact. I don't want him leaving here hating the franchise. The guy is coming off major roles in back to back Cups.
  3. His block on Davis in the Grey Cup was elite and let to a TD He does everything. Most complete back I have seen in the CFL , maybe in my life
  4. I think Darvin Adams filled that role, our OC was just pass adverse.
  5. Yeah, no doubt about that. Conversely TSN will be all over him and he will be at Leaf and Raptor games.
  6. We need more speed. Nic has wheels, he can get deep, but I would like someone else.
  7. In that article above Hamilton confirmed what I suspected- Argos are kicking the tires on Harris. Would be s smart move by them. Yeah, the guy's are there, it is just your best friend moving away when you are 12.
  8. I think they will move on if need be, but I truly think he is the heart of that room. We have the leaders to pick up the slack, but it will be a different feel at camp. Just worried that things go good until they don't.
  9. I remember the Wilcots guy we cut in camp last year, I don't think he was a DT/Nose guy though, so maybe we are thinking of different people
  10. It has bothered me since it popped up. I am not cool with it. The message to the room is clear though: if we walk away from 33 we will walk away from anyone. It isn't good. 160k for him next year is an impossible number.
  11. I think we can find an import DT to challenge for the spot. I also like Casey Sayles
  12. "Money, as is often the case in professional sports, is also an issue. Harris warrants a salary much higher — around $160,000 per season — than the players Winnipeg has behind him. Winnipeg has already committed to Johnny Augustine and Brady Oliveira. Oliveira’s signing, announced Monday, sealed in many people’s eyes the end of Harris’ run with the Bombers. Oliveira, also a Winnipegger, has been the starter-in-waiting behind Harris for a year now, with the torch poised to be passed on. But there is another side to the argument: the potential cost of allowing Harris to walk. For starters, his teammates want him back. There’s no doubt there has been a more vocal push by Bomber players in recent days, with some quietly voicing their displeasure over a a delay in getting a deal done with Harris. For a team that seemingly understands the importance of instilling a good culture, opting not to re-sign Harris appears to contradict that notion and leads to ruffled feathers." Be aware, him leaving is a big hole in the locker room even if you believe you can replace his play (I need to see more evidence to believe he isn't still better than the other two right now, even at 35)
  13. I am good with bringing in recruits to go with the DTs we have now. I wouldn't go shopping. I am expecting the Riders to overpay for Laurent tomorrow.
