Not only do I understand it, I have been saying it while the coach, the assistant coach and half of the players' heads have been called for. I'm not overly worried about the goaltending but it is below average. Lotsa things below average this year... Still think a quick look at Roslo and Comrie wouldn't hurt but it isn't that big of a deal if they don't.

If you are sitting Stu, you cannot sit all three of them. I'd love to see Staf as a healthy scratch and that actually might light a fire under his ass but I don't think they healthy scratch him do they? Armia should be back in two weeks. If they don't move one of those three, I think Petan goes down and that's too bad.

Bringing up a goalie couldn't hurt.....I would just give him a look Roslo too...just 5 or so games. I would guess that if you looked it up, Buff would have more takeaways than giveaways but I agree it is team D that is a big reason why there record is poor. This is in all zones not just their own zone. Helle will get better with experience but goaltending is a disappointment this year.

I would guess so. I just didn't realize we had THAT many 1st rounders on the roster.

They had him in front of the net...I really like his work on the PK.

Jets' Joel Armia: December return likely by RotoWire Staff | Special to CBSSports.com (12/6/16) Armia (undisclosed) is on track to return some time in December according to coach Paul Maurice, Ken Wiebe of the Winnipeg Sun reports. Armia, who has been out since early November, was logging time on the power play prior to getting hurt. At this point, it would be an uphill battle for the winger to reclaim that spot. Without his minutes with the man advantage, the 23-year-old will have limited opportunities to tally points as he was averaging just 14:18 at the start of the year which included 1:55 on the power play.

Didn't know where to put this... Jets have 8 forwards and 3 defensemen that were 1st round draft picks. That's 11 out of 23. I'm not counting Myers or Armia or Connor... Sure shows you how much drafting higher up in the draft means.

Like I said it doesn't have to be career-threatening just enough to knock him out for three weeks or so. We can't send Hutchinson down for fear of losing him to waivers and we aren't going to send Helle down so what else are we going to do.

It was only last year that everyone wanted him hanging from the nearest tree. Now he's the head coach of the Manitoba moose and he is the next in line for the head coaching job of the Jets????? Wow!

Minny, LA, AZ and the Avs all have to play 55 games to finish off the season and we only have to play 50!!!!!!!! That means we have played 5 more games than these teams have in 60 days. Seriously though, the schedule is not too bad from here on in. Any word on Myers, Petan or Armia?

Florida plays the day before in Minny and the Jets should be well rested with some practices under their belts. Helle gets the start? I thought he played pretty good last night.

He has really only hired Kompon hasn't he? edit ... and Woodcroft He didn't hire Charlie or Pascal.

I think if Chevy makes a move it will be to make room for Armia/Matthias. I wonder what he does with Petan?

Does someone really think this team is better with Trouba not playing? Really? I think overall he has played very well. I like that Morrissey is starting to see some special teams play as he deserves it.

I can't remember hearing any 5 year plan from management....that was a media thing. Scheif was the first one drafted and didn't make the lineup for two years. Does that mean 5 years from then? pftttt. No way is Chevy firing Maurice during the season and I am betting he gets an extension right after Chevy gets his this off-season. Is he stopping pucks? Playing the PP and PK? Did he tell Staf and Burmi to take the season off? He should be fired for letting all those guys play that rough sport of hockey and get hurt I guess. Does he have flaws? Hell ya but so does every other coach in the game. I remember fans questioning how Scotty Bowman was using his roster and they were in the midst of winning 4 straight Stanley Cups! You have to remember that we started off with 10 players with one year or less to start the season. Four were greenhorn rookies. Didn't think there would be any hiccups or inconsistencies? These guys are learning and growing as a group and in a few years we will all be glad they were making their mistakes now and not then. this year after 32 games 13-16-3 on Dec 11. last year after 32 games 15-15-2 on December 20.

When do you accept the goaltending is part of the problem? With better goaltending Maurice would look like a better coach.

I thought they played well enough to win.

I like that they are giving Morrissey more responsibilities. The guy never looked flustered or rushed and always seems to know the right play. There is also a lot of offense there that we are not seeing yet.
