  1. Not but a few days ago the sun was shining on the Bombers and Bomber fans alike. The green team was dealing with the dismissal of a very good Receiver. Bomber fans felt it was a disaster, a tire fire, a train wreck was happening in SK. The world was a wonderful place in Capital of Manitoba. Then week 10 happened and the world came crashing down. The Bombers didn’t look anything like the team that won the previous games. Then the dreaded Riders looked like Giant Killers. Handing Calgary their 1st loss of the season and giving Bo a few bruises along the way. Plus Collaros looked like he was finding the form he had not so long ago. What a difference a week makes!
  2. Looks like week 10 became the Bomber fans worst nightmare. 1st Ottawa rolls into Winnipeg and rolls right over the Bombers. A real back handed slap upside the head. Then Nichols was feeling more like a penny when Booing took place upon his return to the game. His poor feelings were hurt. Then Calgary gets a taste of their own medicine and finds themself in a big hole at halftime. To the dismay of the Bomber fan quotes on here. Collaros played great, the SK defence made Bo feel what it’s like to be pressured and hit. The ocean of green celebrated all game long and the Riders get 2 and give the Stamps their first loss of the season. Just a FYI... When Collaros was in the game in Ottawa. The score was tied when he suffered a hit to the head. After Brandon Bridge entered the game. All became lost with his poor play.
  3. No problem. Let’s check back. Everyone has their own opinion. It’s all in how ones mind perceives things. Ypur going back to the beginning of the season when Ottawa solidly beat SK in Ottawa. Then you go on to say that the EE are not a very good team..... What does that make Winnipeg? As the EE rode into the Bombers Stadium and went home with a victory See.... it’s just perception and opinions. It all depends on whether your buying or selling. Some teams start a little slower but come on strong. While other teams start faster and choke out at the end of the season 2017 was a good example of that for several teams
  4. I would disagree with you on O’Shea’s situation with the club. After going 7-11 in 2014 and then 5-13 in 2015. Willy got his big contract O’Shea needed 2016 to be a good year. It started out bad. Willy couldn’t run the offence. The loses started right off the bat. The discussion all across the league was at what point or how many loses will it be when O’Shea is let go. When Mike went to Matt Nichols and he ran the offence right away and showed he could win and was the better QB. Mike stuck with him and had a great season at 11-7. Honestly if Coach O’Shea would have continued below .500 in 2016 you have to admit his job would have been toast. When the head coach comes out and states he’s going to start helping Richie Hall with the Defence and the fans are all calling for Halls job. It’s pretty tough to work under those conditions. Having a good defence but a hole here or there. We both know that an kill you. The Bombers were lucky that their Canadian MLB went to FA and Hill became available. That guy is like 3 LBs in one.
  5. Why would you say that? Did you not watch the Riders go into Edmonton and take the game right to the wire? Or when they went into Hamilton and beat them very convincingly. Now that Collaros is back they should do just fine. Bridge is a back up QB.
  6. Man I don’t understand some people. Insecurity causes anger. Why do you come throwing daggers like that. It’s a friggen football game which is strictly entertainment. it’s suppose to be fun. You sound like blue and gold are your gang colours. Listen up Im here to talk football nothing else . I’m not here being nicety nice as you put it. Im impressed with the Bombers so far this year. But like anything else it can change Why is it so hard for people to stay on topic.
  7. You can tell when you are disscussing a football topic with adults. As well as the juvenile. You know the kind. They don’t have anything of consiquence to add. So they would rather call names. The type of fan that brings a bad name to their fan group. When a person grows up they understand how much more they can learn by being respectful. I just finished complimenting the Winnipeg Bluebombers. Who by the way haven’t won anything at this point. I wrote in a respectful manner. Your reply to this discussion that started with respect and a compliment is to name call. I sure hope other Bomber don’t reply in this manner. In fact I hope they speak up for what is right.
  8. I enjoy talking to fans from across the league. After 3 Down Nation took down their comment section a week ago. I came here as well as going to Calgary and the EE site. Just to talk some football. It gets boring only conversing with fans from your own Province. I do respect what the Bombers have done so far this season. However I erased my original comment. Why? Some of the Bomber fans here see CFL Football as something more than it is. For some reason these individuals do not see the CFL as entertainment. They don’t see the match ups as games. It’s strange why there is so much anger and even hate. So to those who did talk only football to me. Thank you. For those who think other fans can not come on here and be sincere. Just know that some of us realize we are discussing grown men playing a game to entertain.
  9. It’s great to hear from fans all over North America. As a new member you will find the Canadian Prairie fans love and support the CFL. Passion is Prairie grown. Have fun.
  10. Now I don’t know what to do. On the Rod Pedersen site I would call myself Spock logic when I tried using 100% football IQ. Far too many people quote from an emotional place. They say crazy things. However it’s hard not to be somewhat emotional after reading something from a fan who thinks his or her emotions are fact To me any Vulcan should post comments that are only logical. No emotional stuff at all. Cheers
  11. I'm not trying to start anything. I'm just going to state a couple things and then let the Bomber fans discuss. Bombers GM Kyle Walters tried to get Kevin Glen for a penny and a song. Telling Glen the Bombers are not willing to spend the kind of money Kevin wanted for a second QB. Walters told Glenn the money is needed elsewhere. Then they lost Glenn to the EE who stepped up for Kevin's services. Even though the EE are paying Reilly over $500K. More than the Bombers are paying Nichols. So now all of a sudden the sky is falling and Walters pays even more money for Durant than Glen wanted. When it's as plain as day the Glen has been the better QB these past few seasons. Glen would have been a better Bomber than Durant. For several reasons! Most importantly Glen would have known his place on the team. Where as now if I’m Nichols I’m thinking just a minute here. Everyone in the orginization is telling me this is my team. Yet you just signed a guy who has stated over and over that unequivocally he still wants to be a starter!!!! Not once have the word back up been used by Darian Durant. It is not in his Vocabulary at this point in his career. It's only been other people’s words. Darian and LaPolice had a working relationship in the past. If I’m Nichols I’m thinking… What a croque! Im going to be thinking what's really going on. They passed on Glen but went with Durant who wants to be a starter. There is no doubt that psychologically it's going to effected some of Nichols decision making both on and off the field. Bombers. Walters made a mistake signing Durant; monatarily, psychologically and of field QB support (lack there of) On top of all of this. During Durants time in SK. Durant publically stated on several occasions his dislike of Bomber fans. Durant stated how much he disliked Bomber fans when Bomber fans covered the Saskatchewan #1 highway sign that welcomes you to Saskatchewan with “Welcome to Swaggerville”. You could see it and hear it in his voice. Durant hated everything to do with Winnipeg. He never ever spoke that way about any other teams fans!I'm sorry but Glen has a better arm than Durant. Glen is a team guy where as Darian is a me guy. Winnipeg now has a QB that figures he's going to push for the starting job at camp. I honestly think this signing will not be a good one. OK discuss
  12. I honestly feel that the EE's confidence at this point combined with playing last week while Calgary was on a by after losing 3 in a row (one against Edm) is going to be the difference. I see the EE controlling the game from the 2nd qtr on The SK Argo game will be tight for 3/4. However I think SK explosive plays will stun Chamblins defence come the 4th qtr. I see the Riders having a death grip by the middle of the 4th.
  13. I was simply replying to some comments left for me. I didn’t come on here and tease any fans about the Bombers coming out as flat as an opened 3 day old Pilsner beer this past week. Instead I wanted to try and nicely point out how well SK’s Canadian QB B.B. played on Saturday. Showing a skill set the majority of us didn’t know he possessed. It was crazy watching him go to work. For Rider fans Brandon was kinda like a Bridge over troubled water. For Winnipeg fans B.B. stood more for possibly “Blowing Bomber” fans dreams of a home playoff game. Noticed I wrote possibly. Not definitely!! Honestly though; on the up and up. I truly hope 110% for a Nichols quick and complete recovery. I do not want the Bombers to be without their leader behind center. I for one am a huge fan of CFL Prairie football being at full strength come this time of the year. I’ll write this but I will never admit it out loud or to a Bomber fan and I will deny I ever wrote this. LOL If SK does not get too and win the GC. Then I want the Bombers to win the GC... Oh Man, I just threw up a bit in my mouth. haha I hope for a Western Semi final at the CFL’s newest Jem. A Palace for Broadcasters, Players and fans alike. That being TSN’s anointed best stadium in the league ..... drum roll please .... new Mosaic Stadium. TA DAAA. If not, then we can play the western semi final in that shiny, not to shabby of a stadium located just inside of Moose Country in friendly Manitoba. Unless your a Rider fan. Then maybe not too friendly. haha. Good luck everyone. Here’s hoping we have a great remainder of the season and an awesome playoffs. May the best team win.
  14. I can’t see it as the contract Collaros carry’s is HUGE. $550K a year whether he plays or not. Plus a thousand stipulations that gives both he and his Agent total control of everything. The only way a new team signs Collaros is after the season and once his existing contract expires. Time to write a new contract that brings both he and his Agent back to earth. He’s good but no where near as good as he thinks he is.
  15. I’m thinking many of you were voting with your heart instead of your head. Now that we have all seen Hamilton beat both BC and Winnipeg at home. Yet SK beat Hamilton at Hamilton. Then beat Ottawa in Ottawa and just beat Toronto at home. I would suggest that the Riders are far more of a threat that anyone has truly anticipated. I think many are hoping instead of giving the nod to the team they really can’t stand Heres hoping that Nichols is going to be ok and the back to back with BC is going to be awesome As well as Montreal pulling a rabbit out of their sorry Kavis Reeds behind and squeaks our a victory at home.
  16. I have no idea what you guys are talking about. I’m not a troll. I don’t say deragarory things about people or teams. I’m an avid fan of CFL football. I am a Rider fan but I’m not a fricken troll I have an open mind. Remember that an open mind is the essence of Intellect I admire well coached and teams that play well when someone asks a question. Don’t try and make them sound dumb. I have no idea who or what Migs is. I post on here now and then. As well as 3 Down Nation and Rod Pedersen. Come on Bomber fans. It’s good to have sound, logical opposing comments now and then. It’s not good for anyone to be disrespectful to anyone or any team or player.
  17. I forgot to ask you. Who or what is a Migs? The only Migs I know of would be a squadron of Russian Mig fighter Aircraft. Made by the Mig Company. OR ............. Was Migs a football fan of another team that would zoom in here faster than the speed of sound. Take several shots, drop a few bombs or maybe quickly carpet bomb the site, then zoom out of here even quicker than he flew in? ha ha ha
  18. Booo. Ive been the blunt of Bomber drunkeness at IGF but I realize they only represent a small portion. Hoping to find better conversation here. We can have fun and keep it civil. 2 different games these past 2 weeks. I think the Riders are doing ok only 1.5 years into a total rebuild. Bombers are doing real well this season. They are in the 4th year of the Oshea experiment. I have a good feeling for an excellent ending to the West Division this year. Riders still have a game in hand so if they beat Hamilton this coming weekend then they jump ahead of BC What ever team dosent make it into the playoffs will still be a far better team than the 1st place team in the East.
  19. Come on... that took about 5 minutes to write. That's not much effort. I did introduce myself a while back in the "Introduce Yourself" section. Ive been posting with my screen name since 2006. I use to be all over the TSN articles until the stopped allowing comments. I often go after the so called unknowldgable Rider fans on RodPedersen.com site that only come out after a loss. Calling for every coach to be fired and QBs to be benched or players to be released. Sometime the loudest fans are the ones that post stupidity. I repeat myself here. I respect the knowledgable Bomber fan and especially the ones that can hold a conversation without name calling. It's a game and it's all in good fun.
  20. I'm not Migs. But if Migs is a good person than we may have something in common. I'm just a football fan who loves any kind of football. I enjoy good, clean, football discussions. I enjoy Witty cometary and those who are loyal to their favourite teams. Winning or losing. In the last few years Bomber fans and Rider fans have had their fare share of not so great seasons. I respect the Bomber Orginization and 99% of the Bomber fans. I believe that Manitoba and Saskatchewan are the heart of the CFL i don't believe in any kind of harm should happen to anyone for simply cheering for a team. be it on line or physical. Some forget it's a game, not a turf war. I believe we should wear our team colours proudly. Not like they are gang colours. as long as everyone respects each other it can be a whole lot of fun
  21. I mentioned right after the game on a different thread that it was a hard fought game. I know the score dosent show that for the Riders but they were playing hard. I also mentioned that last week the green coaches had the guys prepaired better than the blue coaches and this week the blue coaches had the guys way better prepaired than the green coaches did What many fans don't understand is how difficult it is for any team to play in a loud and hostile stadium. Last week it was loud and hostile. This week it was loud and hostile way over the top. Both the voice of the Bombers and Doug Brown used misdirection to get Bomber fans more than just upset or angry. I'm sure I saw some frothing at the mouth? Take the anger of losing a football game and displace it somehow. This was the 1st time this new Riders team faced this type of adversity. Last year no one paid attention as they were not a threat. Different story this year. It's been a long, long time since I saw Bomber fans jacked up like yesterday I think it was 2007 when this kind of rivalry was as alive like it was yesterday. I almost wish the games were reversed and SK hosted the rematch. The intensity at the rematch after getting beat pretty darn good. Combined with Winnipeg media making something out of nothing and drawing the rath of the Bomber fan away from the team and sicking them on the Riders was masterful. That's how you displace the anger of losing. You use all the anger and hatred already built up and mix it with words like cheating, faking and despicable. Using Bomber fan gullibility and turn all of that pure evil back towards the green team that beat you. At the same time take it completely away from your team that was honestly beat in all facets of the game. BRILLIANT!!! It worked like a charm. Winnipeg media should be proud of themselves Winnipeg goes on a buy now and the Riders face Hamilton. Then there is still another 7 games to go after that. As long as all QBs stay healthy in the West, it should be a good finish. I respect Bomber football but as a Rider fan you still have to allow me to give you a good but non name calling jab now and then. I've had my fair share of jabs coming my way at IGF. In fact the last game I attended at IGF was last year. I had won an all expenses paid game for the Riders Labor Day rematch. My Hotel room was a great room downtown Winnipeg. Well let me tell you what an experience that was Downtown! WOW! I started to think someone was playing a practical joke on me. I'm going to skip the details of my down town experience as I wouldn't come out of that sounding like a very nice person and I am. So instead I will tell you about my experience at IGF 2016 in a well written somewhat dramatized on line short story. After what seemed like an endless limo ride to the game (included in trip) I ended up sitting beside an older gentleman with some extremely silver hair. He was wearing a Bombers hat but his silver hair was sticking out all around. I also noticed he had on a big clunky ring. Upon further review, I could see it was an Actual Grey Cup ring. So I asked him if he ever coached or played in the NFL or CFL? He nodded yes and in a shaky voice he said; I did a bit of both, but I played much more. So I asked him about the Grey Cup ring he was wearing. He perked up a bit and in a somewhat deeper proud but still shaky voice he said; I was a 4th year CFL starter the year we won the Grey Cup! So because of his advanced age I had no idea of who he was with or how many decades ago it was when he won that Grey Cup ring. So I asked him how many years ago it was and how many Grey Cups has his team won since he last played? His Voice stopped shaking momentarily and he said .. "BOY" I GOT THIS RING AND AN ALL STAR NOMINATION ON THE LAST BLUE BOMBER TEAM TO WIN THE GREY CUP!!!! come on guys, good clean fun. No name calling. Like Coach OShea said. Clean
  22. Watching the game it's been a hard fought battle. This time O'Shea had the guys ready and the ball bounced in the Bombers direction. I was hoping it was going to be closer in the 4th but Winnipeg deserved this one. Good game Bombers signed Rider fan
  23. I was going to tell a joke I heard today. It's funny but then I thought some might be offended. So I removed it
  24. Hey I understand losing dosent feel good. It sucks in fact. But when a team gets their van cleaned and fans get in an uproar over something that was irrelevant to the outcome of the game. It comes across as nothing more than whining and super sour grapes. Best to focus on how the Bombers are going to control the next game. The last thing you want is the Riders taking 2 more points in your own stadium. I've been posting with my screen name since 2006. I use to comment with all of you on the TSN sites. Before they shut it down. I just wanted to say that as some on here like to accuse others of making up new fake names.
  25. Typical short sighted comment. Showing ignorance to the subject matter by lashing out with profanity. I'm surprised this forum allows anyone to say someone else has their head up... well ... you know. Funny that this topic runs right to the end of the next page. If we are talking sportsmanship or above board. What about O'Shea's so called trick play having a player that was never a part of the offensive huddle step onto the wide side of the field. Still hidden somewhat by the rest of his team on the sidelines. In order to be wide open for a pass. Is that good sportsmanship? You see you can't have it both ways Bomber fans are football intelligent and that's why it bugs me that so many were dupped into focusing on 3 plays that were totally irrelevant to the outcome of the game.
