  1. Thorpe is a solid young player and given recent injuries a good pickup.  Carter is only under contract until the end of the season,  Roosevelt has suffered some concerning head injuries and Owens is both old and injury prone.

Thorpe will look good at TC next season if he doesn't crack the lineup this season but given all the injuries he could.

Would be excellent to see Bombers host the W Final!

But alot of things need to fall into place for that, as you say, starting today vs Toronto.

Here's hoping Bombers just put the boots to Stamps in the final regular season game and make a friggin statement like Riders did last night. I see BLM eating some humble pie today on Twitter.

BLM is good but not great.  The Stamps have an amazing defence and have surrounded BLM with talent so he shines.  Being a school yard bully if you smack the Stamps in the mouth early and often they don't know how to react.  The Bombers are plenty physical enough to do it.

Ok, then we will gladly ship him back to your loser trough in SSK where he belongs then.  If whiffing on tackles on a regular is good enough for a national, then take him and get him outta here.

Oh, and take Richie Sucko Hall back there with you too, he's the biggest loser coach right now.

A big fat no to Richie Hall (been there done that).  Sammy Hurl?  For the right price I'd love to have him back.  Of course he'd not be a starter but in some situations and on teams he'd be a solid contributor.

  4. I hope Walters sticks to his guns on this deal.  Mulumba needs to realize that he has a lot to prove before he can start calling the shots in negotiations.  If he signs and starts lighting it up then he will have more negotiating power but for now the three contract is standard.

  5. Saskatchewan and Winnipeg both win their week 19 games relatively easily.  Calgary vs Edmonton?  Calgary is trending downward (BLM is rather pedestrian and Reilly is the best QB in the league) and Edmonton is hungry.  I think Edmonton wins it in an absolute beauty of a game.

    Week 20?

Winnipeg beats Calgary who limps into the playoffs full of self-doubt.  Edmonton probably beats a Rider team which throughout this season hasn't put together more then a few good games at a time.  Also, the game will mean a lot more for the Esks.

That is perfect.  Unbelievable that a clown like Trump actually has a shot at being president.

  7. My buddy...a radio friend from my Dauphin days... Produced that spot in Edmonton. He didn't write it, but he put it together. He's a rabid, die hard Rider fan from just north of Saskatoon. He loves the damn thing... Super proud of it.

My biggest problem with the damn thing? It says Rider fans are great fans. Bullshit. They're among the biggest bandwagon jumpers of any sports franchise anywhere...

Merchandising sales, ticket sales, tv numbers etc say they are great fans. Hell, the fact there is still a team in Saskatchewan after how long they sucked is testament to being great fans. Think you guys have had a dry spell? The Riders up to 1966 sucked, from 1976 to 1989 and then from 1992 until around 2003. Some of the worst teams of all times.

    Good fans? I'd say.
