I know Lawless is a baffling commentator and master confabulator, but he's really dropping them today.

 

This is the first time I've listened to the 1290 pre-game show this year, so prior to this I didn't have a handle on how truly nuts GL has become.

 

Regarding him seeing Chris Walby getting ready for today's game, Lawless says: "There's something unsettling about watching the mammoth hanging out here"...Huh? Unsettling? Was he naked? 

 

When comparing the coaching styles of Osh and Chris Jones, GL goes on a tirade about how Jones considers the media to be "something he would scrape off the bottom of his shoe" he says Jones "is bad for the CFL".

I guess Gary has never had the opportunity to interview Don Matthews. If he thinks Jones is rough, the Don would have made him weep.

 

So now I can't change the station...just waiting for Gary's next beauty...Great stuff.

 

Good question on Jones. Wouldn't mind seeing him get a look.

What's the deal with Jarvis Jones this year?  Any word from practice or is he persona non grata now...

 

Seemed like we finally had two reliable tackles at the end of last season and decided to go in a new direction yet again - Knapp is playing exactly like he did last season at tackle, okay but just not big enough to stop the rush - he should be at guard.

It might be that Wylie doesn't like his work ethic or that Jones doesn't learn very well but sure looks like it's Wylie making this decision.  Somebody should show Wylie game film from last season maybe that would help to convince him that Jones can play.

Lol no kidding...,what an odd suggestion.. Greatest o-line mind we've had since his first go round thinks he's not good enough and he must be wrong or not seen the tape... Id guarantee that he's seen the tape, the TC and preseason and decided he's not good enough or learning the packages..
