2011:
Started at cornerback in the first four games before missing the final eight games due to injury • recorded 24 tackles (20 solo, four assisted) • tallied three tackles-for-loss • grabbed two interceptions • broke-up three passes in four games.

Game-by-Game: Second on team with 11 tackles (10 solo, one assist) and broke up one pass in season opener at USC (9/3) • notched six solo tackles with one tackle-for-loss, grabbed an interception, broke up a pass vs. New Mexico State (9/10) • broke all-time Big Ten return yards record during home opener • recorded five tackles (three solo, two assists) and an interception in 29-23 home victory over Miami (Ohio) (9/17) • tallied two tackles (one solo, one assist) and broke up one pass in loss to North Dakota State (9/24).

 

2010 • JUNIOR SEASON:
Appeared in 11 games including six starts at cornerback• returned 29 kicks for 789 yards in 2010 including a career-best 90-yard return against Illinois • passed Melvin Anderson (1983-86) for Minnesota's career kickoff return record, currently sitting with 114 • made first-career start at cornerback against Purdue (10/16) • has recorded 37 tackles (28 solo) as well scooping up two fumbles, picking off one interception and breaking up five passes • earned third varsity letter. Hauled in 26 passes for 306 yards and two touchdowns, which ranked third on the team in receptions and fourth in receiving yards • ranked 53rd in the nation at 24.6 yards per kickoff return • his 1,376 all-purpose yards in 2009 led the team • earned second varsity letter. Game-by-Game: Made his second career start in the season-opening 23-20 OT win at Syracuse (9/5) • caught four passes for 22 yards, including the Golden Gophers only receiving touchdown, at Syracuse • in the 20-13 win over Air Force (9/12), caught three passes for 34 yards, including a long of 19 yards • also returned two kick-offs for 62 yards vs. the Falcons • in the 35-21 loss to No. 8 Cal (9/19), caught three passes for 19 yards and returned three kicks for 29 yards • in the 35-24 win at Northwestern (9/26), returned four kickoffs for 111 yards including a game-long 37-yarder • in 31-28 loss to Wisconsin (10/3), caught three passes for 46 yards • also against Wisconsin, returned four kickoffs for a game-high 138 yards, including a long of 41 yards • in the 35-20 win over Purdue (10/10) returned three kickoffs for 86 yards, including a long g 44 yards • in the 20-0 loss at No. 14 Penn State (10/17) returned three kicks for 45 yards and caught one pass for five yards • in the 38-7 loss to No. 18 Ohio State (10/24), caught a team-high four passes for 47 yards including the Gophers' only touchdown • in the 42-34 win over Michigan State (10/31), caught one pass for a career-long 48 yards and returned six kickoffs for 192 total yards including a career long 71-yarder • in the 35-32 loss to Illinois (11/7), returned five kickoffs for 120 yards with a long of 33 yards • in the 16-13 win over South Dakota State (11/14) caught two passes for 30 yards, including a team-long of 18 yards • in the 12-0 loss to Iowa (11/21) caught two passes for 22 yards and returned two kickoffs 38 yards • caught three passes for 33 yards at the Insight Bowl.

 

2008 • FRESHMAN SEASON:
Exciting player saw action in all three phases of the game • worked primarily as a receiver during conference play after opening the year at cornerback • finished the season as the Big Ten's No. 1 kickoff returner • ranked No. 26 in the nation in kickoff return yards • set single-season school kickoff return records for both returns (42) and yards (1,083) • appeared in all 13 games on special teams, with one start on offense • had one tackle on defense to go with three receptions for 13 yards and five rushes for 19 yards on offense • averaged 25.8 yards on 42 kickoff returns to tie for the eighth-best average in Minnesota history • had seven kick returns of 35 yards or more, with a long of 60. HIGH SCHOOL:
Prepped at Skyline High School • helped lead Skyline to a 12-2 record and its deepest run in the playoffs since 1972 as the Raiders reached the Class 5A Division Region Final • rushed for 1,153 yards in 150 carries (7.7 ypc) with 10 touchdowns as a senior in 2007 • also had 19 receptions for 268 yards and three touchdowns and passed for 514 yards and a four scores • return three punts for touchdowns • attended Seagoville High School as a junior in 2006 • led the Dallas Metroplex area in rushing among 4A schools with 2,135 yards on 304 carries • scored 26 touchdowns • also passed for 590 yards with three TDs • named the Class 4A Region II as well as the District 14-4A MVP • earned second team all-area honors from the Dallas Morning News • coached by Reginald Samples at Skyline and Clint Roddy at Seagoville.
