That hit wasn't egregious.   He got his 2 minutes... And then promptly scored with less than a minute left in the first.  

Jets PK needs to step up now

Ehlers had a hell of a game.  Everyone actually played well…. Tenacious and relentless on the puck.  Good win.

Yes, even the pylon played well I have to admit.  Although he needs to work out on his clearing attempts.

Ehlers wasn’t happy with his game tonight. He’s hard on himself. I’d sign Ehlers also if he wants less than Scheif and Helle. Thats 8.5. So 8 8.25 I’d do. I wouldn’t pay him more tho because he’s a winger and when he loses his speed his contract could be a huge anchor. 

Ehlers as shown how valuable he has been down the stretch.  My only concern is his playoff durability.  He's still on the smaller side and does get pushed around easily.

TBF in 10 years Nik(and KFC) will be the same speed as everyone else 

 

Ehlers isn’t worth more than Scheifele or Helle. A winger who has only scored 30 goals once shouldn’t be paid more. Thats what it comes down to. 8 million per? Sure. Anymore than that? I don’t think so plus he has to want to sign.
