  1. "Insatiable hate" - interesting choice of words and pretty unfair comment in my view, given how crappy Toby is (tell me you didn't cringe when you saw Enstrom cough up the puck easily behind Winnipeg's net in that Montreal game for the OT winner and I will call you a liar). I don't want to get rid of Lowry, but I know in trades you have to give up something to get something. Ok then - scratch Lowry, how about Petan/Tanev/Dano/spare part? How is that?
  2. Enstrom the giant wimp coughs up the puck again behind the net. Just brutal.
  3. How about this? LSE Perrault - Little - Wheels Matthias - Lowry-Armia Petan-Copp- Dano (Tanev/Connor) Morrissey - Trouba Poolman-Buff Kulikov-Myers (Enstrom/Chiarot) Helle (Mason)
  4. Unless someone posting here has first hand knowledge or is on the Jets inside management team, aren't we all essentially talking out of our asses? Some of us see something in Enstrom that others do not. We have different opinions based on our experience. It may be a 20 or 30 or even 40 years of experience ass we are talking out of, but we are all doing it.
  5. that is true too. Chiarot and Enstrom need to be replaced ASAP.
  6. I didn't find his original post snarky. I think it was a valid point. I also don't believe that we did well by protecting Enstrom. I think you should stop telling other people to stop posting their opinions.
  7. We gave up Cal Foote to keep Enstrom. I don't get it.
  8. I don't like Enstrom because he isn't just small, he plays small and gives the puck up constantly when pressured. And we seem to win more when he isn't playing, which I don't think is a coincidence.
  9. Really one of the worst eh? If it meant getting Enstrom off the ice I really don't care.
  10. Come on Golden Knights! You know you want Enstrom!!!
  11. by the time Cal Foote is ready for prime time we'll be low on RHD too. I think the Jets need to go and get some LHD in free agency to address the immediate needs. And dump Enstrom's salary.
  12. I don't care what he costs either, just want him gone. And yes, I would take Melch any day of the week over Toby. At least I don't have to cringe in shame every time someone just easily elbows Enstrom off the puck and throws it out front to an open man. So tired of watching that.
  13. ****-can Thorbs, Stuart, Pavs and Enstrom. Myers, Little, Trouba play all next year. Find a goalie. Poolman, Connor, Roslo step up next year. Should be good.
  14. Apologies if one of these threads has already been started, but I didn't see it so I thought I would start one. After watching last night's 3-0 debacle, it's painfully obvious that another season will end with no playoff games to watch. I am thinking that I am going to have to endure my friends who are Calgary Flames fans this year laying it on thick as Calgary advances to at least the third round. We will see as they will have to get through San Jose who plays a similar style. Anyway, I am starting to research mock NHL drafts and I found one online, who is projecting the Jets to pick at #9, and pick the following player: Does this not sound like a Finnish Toby Enstrom? Is this really who we want to take in the first round? I notice they have Cal Foote going at 18. I would be mad if the Jets passed an opportunity to grab him, if he's still available at #9. He's just like his dad, and would be a horse for us on D for a long time.
  15. I don't think Stuart is the answer but less Enstrom is a good thing. How many times in the past two games alone was he carrying the puck up the boards when he was about to get hit, so he instead passes it back to Buff to avoid taking a hit. Just so tired of watching that guy do everything he can to avoid physicality.
  16. For any price? I'd be willing to throw in Enstrom too.
  17. and that hard-hitting no-nonsense uber-physical yet still plays legal hard-nosed work-horse defenseman we've always needed - Toby Enstrom....
  18. yeah if Jets wanted to take a forward with their first rounder (and it could be a high pick again given they probably won't make the play-offs) and use the 1st from Washington for Foote, they'd probably have to trade their second and the Wash first to move up to get Foote, like they did to get Stanley. I think this is all pipe dreaming though as Washington isn't dumb enough to take Enstrom.
  19. watching Gaborik score while Enstrom strolls around behind the net not checking anybody again, the only job I would offer him next year is head assembler/Swedish instruction translator at IKEA. Just so tired of his crappy non-defensive play.
  20. Did I say it "was on Enstrom?" I just asked why he was on the ice.
  21. Except I don't hate Enstrom. I take him for what he is. A smooth skating SMALL D man that doesn't just gives up the puck to anyone and everyone with almost no struggle.
  22. We can agree on the fact that we need to upgrade our D depth. If Enstrom is the best player at his position then we have a serious problem, as he is just plain not good enough to be in that position.
