  1. I thought that bcs front seven was great... Secondary not so much.

Glenn got hit and was rattled afterwards ... So he is the same old Glenn.

BCs receivers are good... The passes were bad and the o line wasn't great.

Edmonton special teams won the game with the two fakes.

Reilly won't last the year ... Edmonton's o line is awful.

Edmonton's defense did really good they may be under rated.

    Bemavides looked lost again today

Pretty sure Benny is on the hot this season with Wally and he may be done by years end if he doesn't bring home the bacon.

  2. Been sick at home all week, super happy to have a CFL game to watch as a break from all the Netflix.

Stream I'm using, in case anyone needs one: http://nfl-streaming.tv/stream40.html

That seems like a great quality feed, no crappy downloads!

  3. You've got to think being the "star QB" is pretty infatuating even if it is not the NFL.  Very good salary, profile and probably the most security of any CFL position.  Not many have succeeded in the "cross over" between leagues.  Was Flutie the last QB to accomplish this?

  4. I'm still searching high and low for a replay of the Bombers/Argos game.  Can't imagine the "average fan" showing any interest in game replays so TSN is effectively putting a great asset in mothballs by cutting off it's diehard fan base from re-watching CFL games.  I can somewhat understand control of the live-streaming but why lock up the replays???  Wonder what the actual viewer numbers for this resource are on TSNGO?

I suggest if the Bombers would have signed Glenn, they would have had an excellent shot at 3rd in the West and BC would end up in 5th looking up at them.  Playoff revenue would have easily paid for Glenn's salary.

To deprive BC of a player of Glenn's capabilities would be awesome, but at what cost?

How about starting with our 1st round draft choice, Goosen? That is a high cost.

But we can't stop there now can we? Because I tell you what, BC can afford to throw more in trade that we could have, so I believe they would have got him anyways.

We may have driven up the bidding, but since we had our starter and BC didn't, they would not have backed down,

People forget that there were literally months on inaction on the Kevin Glenn front before the draft and before Wally began to worry about Lulay's shoulder.  I believe that had Walters taken the initiative he could have gotten Glenn for less than what Desjardin was asking.  Desjardin had to be nervous at the inaction and as a first year GM he didn't need the **** storm that Glenn was kicking up.  Don't know what it would have taken but the Bombers clearly had lots of expendable assets at their disposal as many of them are no longer with the club.  How about Watson, Volny, Cauchy, Suber and the rights to Chris Matthews....something like that would have looked good to Ottawa and would have had little effect on were the Bombers are now....just speculatin'

And put my Willy a year behind for a playoff birth and early exit with KG. No thanks, good chance we make the playoffs this season and end up with a real #1 QB for years.

I Didn't say anything about starting Glenn, just possessing him would be enough to keep B.C. out of the playoffs.  You're very insecure about "your Willy", aren't you?

You do realize that the Grey Cup is in Vancouver this year, right? Ever been to Vancouver? There's a lot of things I could there rather than go see a loser football team. No, it's good for the CFL that Glenn is there. Very good.

The Bombers have been the dregs of the CFL for a few years now and they need to have a fewf "me first" seasons before they start making charitable football decisions that benefit the BC Lions.

  8. I think Banks was a big deal when he was signed as he was a "name player" and Walters was just getting his feet wet as the permanent GM so he wanted to make a bold move.  Unfortunately O'Shea probably doesn't give a crap about any of the "optics" and has found better and younger positional players to take his place so Banks is no longer needed.  It's now up to Walters to save face and get what he can for Banks while trying to extend Banks career with another team.  Hopefully he gets a fair shot with Ottawa.  It's a tough call all around because they used Banks to create credibility for the new regime but ultimately Wally was probably right about Banks expiration date.  Always trust in Wally.

  9. The scary thing for other CFL teams is Drew's upside. He'll keep getting better & better as he gains experience. .

This is true, Willy has tremendous upside but for how many years do the Bombers actually have him under contract and what are his NFL ambitions?  If Collaros had or has NFL ambitions and he generates interest I imagine Willy will have the same opportunities as he's a model of a classic NFL QB.  Who's to say Willy will even be here after 2015 and how far can the Bombers ascend in 2 years???

With the new CBA I suppose 5 year contracts are a thing of the past?
