  1. I have no confidence that these two cops will face any serious jail time or legal consequences. They are cops and have been connected in the past with the local district attorney's office and the victim was black. They will probably get house arrests on weekends and be back on the job in six months after being suspended at full pay.

There is an email circulating that purports to be from a Japanese professor of medicine who was alleged to be associated with the Wuhan Virus Institute and he is quoted as saying that the Coronavirus was absolutely created and released. Snopes has identified this as fake, although Dr, Honjo is a Nobel recipient. Another racist attack by the Trumpsters.

Sweden is testing conservatives’ preferred coronavirus response — and it’s not going well ( Written by Daily Kos May 7, 2020 Many conservatives are in love with the idea of Sweden’s approach—no lockdown. They don’t take into consideration that half of Swedes live alone, or that they have a top-notch universal healthcare system. They just think “no lockdown” is a better response to the novel coronavirus pandemic. If nothing else, Sweden’s alternative response to the virus was … a good control group. And what we’re learning now is that failing to shut down hasn’t just led to more deaths, but—surprise surprise!—it also didn’t prevent its economy from tanking. In fact, Sweden is poised for more economic pain than its neighbors. https://www.alternet.org/2020/05/sweden-is-testing-conservatives-preferred-coronavirus-response-and-its-not-going-well/

Trump spews a disturbing and angry rant about the Obama administration over the Flynn case MSNBC Written by David Badash / The New Civil Rights Movement May 7, 2020 21 President Donald Trump is baselessly accusing the Obama administration of “treason,” following the news the Dept. of Justice has dropped all charges against his former National Security Advisor Mike Flynn, despite Flynn having pleaded guilty to lying to the FBI. “The Obama administration Justice Department was a disgrace, and they got caught, they got caught,” Trump claimed, which is false. “Very dishonest people, but much more than – it’s treason, it’s treason.”

I would not rule out either a scorched earth policy or incitement to violence. Trump will intimate but probably not directly call for violence in response to an election loss.

Trump has both said and intimated that anyone who does his bidding would be pardoned, and in that, al least, he is keeping his promise.

Woman who accused Fauci of sex assault now says Trump supporters paid her to lie Director of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases Dr. Anthony S. Fauci attends a coronavirus update briefing Tuesday, April 7, 2020, in the James S. Brady Press Briefing Room of the White House. Written by Travis Gettys / Raw Story May 7, 2020 5 A woman who had accused Dr. Anthony Fauci of sexual assault now claims she was paid to lie about the public health expert by a pair of President Donald Trump’s supporters. The woman says right-wing provocateur Jacob Wohl and his frequent accomplice Jack Burkman persuaded her to cast Fauci as the assailant using details from an actual sexual assault she survived just after high school, and they paid her to do it, reported Reason. https://www.alternet.org/2020/05/woman-who-accused-fauci-of-sex-assault-now-says-trump-supporters-paid-her-to-lie/

And you ain't seen nothing yet. Hospitals in Texas are gearing up for a massive wave of Covid19 cases following the lifting of restrictions. The governor acknowledges that there will be a surge of cases and accompanying deaths, but pleasing his (mostly) insane base has priority.

Read the CDC Coronavirus Document the White House Didn’t Want You to See ‘LIGHT OF DAY’ The Trump administration might not have wanted you to see these new guidelines for reopening America—but the nation’s top infectious-disease experts did, so maybe take a look. Doug Mills/ Reuters When the nation’s most-respected infectious-disease investigators take the time to write down some advice as the president rushes to reopen the country during a raging pandemic, it seems only sensible that you’d listen very carefully to what they have to say. But, according to a report from the Associated Press, the White House decided to block the publication of this 17-page document from a Centers for Disease Control and Prevention team. It lays out exactly what measures restaurants, schools, child-care facilities, and other public places should take if they decide to reopen their doors in the coming weeks.. https://www.thedailybeast.com/read-the-cdc-coronavirus-document-the-white-house-didnt-want-you-to-see?ref=home

The hypocrisy of the anti-restriction/GOP/White house is staggering. The current press representative Ms. McEnany, has been advocating that everything ought to be wide open and that Covid19 is way overhyped, has been going for tests weekly.

MyPillow CEO Mike Lindell expands from manufacturing masks to sourcing them after call with Trump Written by Roger Sollenberger / Salon May 7, 2020 Mike Lindell, the founder of the MyPillow Company, has made good on his Rose Garden promise to produce and distribute medical masks to healthcare facilities around the country, a spokeswoman told Salon. But in what would appear to be a previously-unannounced dimension to the operation, Lindell is also apparently “sourcing” masks, the spokeswoman said. Fawning over Trump has its benefits.

I don't think we have seen the worst of Trump and his cronies. Unless the GOP assassinates him themselves, they will go down as well. My concern is that once the Democrats are in control of the white House, Congress and Senate that they could become as arrogant and corrupt as those they replaced. There will have to be a culling of incompetent Trump appointees, though.

Trump intends to challenge COVID-19 death count and accuse hospitals of lying: report by Gage Skidmore Axios is now reporting that Trump will soon dive deeply into even worse behavior than he is currently wallowing in, and that the pile of excrement posing as president will soon argue that the people dying of COVID-19 are actually now dying of something else. “A senior administration official said he expects the president to begin publicly questioning the death toll as it closes in on his predictions for the final death count and damages him politically,” Axios reports. https://www.alternet.org/2020/05/trump-intends-to-challenge-covid-19-death-count-and-accuse-hospitals-of-lying-report/ Desperation setting in for Trump

Trump Says Nation Needs to Accept More Deaths: ‘We Have to Be Warriors Updated May. 06, 2020 2:46PM ET / Published May. 06, 2020 2:35PM ET After acknowledging during his Tuesday ABC News interview that deaths will likely rise by quickly reopening the American economy during the coronavirus pandemic, President Donald Trump said on Wednesday that the American people needed to be “warriors” when asked if the nation needs to accept more casualties. People need to be warriors like Trump did when he was drafted. Bone spurs may become an epidemic.
