I decided at 48 that getting into shape is probably a now or never kind of thing. Dropped 45 lbs since the beginning of the year and I can honestly say I haven't gone hungry. I exercise about an hour a day and weight now what I weighted in high school. A svelt 190 on a 6 foot 1 inch broad shouldered frame. Sure there are love handles, but I can live with that. The 45 missing pounds I can certainly live without!

I bought the gold pullover hoodie which is pretty sharp looking I think, but definitely prefer the royal blue jersey's, especially the one I have with Stegall on teh back.

Can't fault Buck for a crappy Oline, crappy play calling and dropsies by the receivers. He was always positive and I assume brought a lot to the community. It is a good decision for the Blue to trade him vs his out right release, but to dump on the guy because he was getting hammered on almost every play is just sad. Maybe we should be trading all our running backs as well. They rarely get 100 yard games, so dump the bums. Oh wait, the Oline hasn't opened a hole big enough for a fart to get through, but that's ok, it's the QBs fault and the running backs fault. Put the blame where the blame belongs. And...Flame away!

With our porous Oline, what QB with any promise would flourish? When you're running for your life, you don't have time to develop any skills other than self preservation.

I'm expecting a high scoring offensive game, or a low scoring defensive battle!

I don't think it really matters what QB is playing. If the O line is so porous that the QB's have less than 2 seconds to make a decision, we're doomed. They can't even make a hole big enough to get the running back into the secondary. Can't really develop a QB when he's running for his life 9 out of 10 plays!

Or in our case a sinking sailing ship!

I have no skills in the regards, so I'll throw out my idea and let the creatives put something together. I picture a bomber helmet shaped coffee mug full of coffee with the Winnipeg Bomber logo (if that's allowed) and Morning Big Blue underneath it. Ok you creative types, work with that!

Saw this last night when I popped on for any updates. Looks great. Are you going to use Google Ads? If so, people have to click on the ads in order to generate income. I run a site and over the course of about 2 years I think I'm sitting on a gold mine of about $12.

I live in McKenzie Lake. Bought 15 years ago for $225,000, currently valued at $570,000. 2,000 sq ft. House prices in Calgary are high for sure. When I first moved here they had things called starter homes which sold for around $130,000. Now nothing is really available for less than $300k. For me it takes 20 mins to get down town for work (I leave at 5:50am) and 30 mins to get home (I leave at 3:30pm). If I leave at 4 the trip take 45 mins and f I leave at 4:30 it's usually 60+ mins to get home. Rush hour seems to start at 3:30 and ends around 7:00. Places to eat are not an issue and better places pop up all the time.

When the blue really needed the O line to hold fast for a Hail Mary, they collapsed like a Costco reusable shopping bag.

I find I have hope at the beginning of the game, but usually by the end of the first quarter I just want the game to end. If we're down by a TD+ I have zero faith the team can come back. If we're up by a TD+ I have zero faith they guys can hold the lead. It blows considering it was not that many years ago, we were always in it to the very bitter end. I long for the days we'd throw up 40+ points a game and be man handling the opposition.

Another putrid game from the Bombers. The basement again. Not much hope for the rest of this season. Sigh!

Now that the decision has been made, the coaches better be working on a game plan to utilize Goltz's skill set. Surely to god they O line has enough beef to work together to open a small hole for Simpson. Once he gets through, he should be able to make yards. Rolls outs, toss out and what not, should keep the defense off the field and rested. Here's a novel idea. Don't throw for 5 yards when you need 8 and how about a series of 10 yard throws. A string of first downs and the next thing you know, you're in the end zone. No need to throw 40 yard bombs all game. Mix it to hell up!

Well I for one am glad I found this place. OB was, heavy emphasis on was, great for a couple years when I first found it, but it quickly degenerated and all the quality posters left and moved here. Go on yah everyone for creating a great site and community of like minded Bomber fans. Those that stick with the team through thick and thin and it's been pretty thin of late.

I hope Goltz can get enough time from the O line to make some plays. Maybe use his feet more and swing out passes to the running backs. Anything to take pressure off the feather weight O line we have!

I don't really care who they get rid of. I'm more concerned with the beef they need to bring in to strengthen and bulk up the O line.
