  1. means nothing...guys can throw for yards in cold weather..Danny Barret threw for almost 400 yards in 1991 Grey Cup..Prob coldest game I ever been to..and many other games guys put up big numbers
  2. My shoulder injury (significant and required surgery) went away and I played 7 years after the fact...bothers me now but didn't effect my play...also just because it's season ending doesn't mean it's career threatening by any means..I had season ending surgeries 3 times....just saying And in a football player I will take a guy with rebuilt knees..shoulders..anyday and twice on sunday than a chronic repeat Concussion sufferer..they DO NOT go away..and compound each time...and occur more frequently when as time goes on, and sometimes from something really minimal too...
  3. yEAH I would think Griffith has progressed enough to rotate in on the D-line..he showed well in Pre-Season games and can easily absorb 10 to 15 reps a game on the line if need be. There are also some Canadian D-lineman going to be free agents from other squads too..so options are there if this happens. And really if we go National at safety we don't really need the National DT to rotate and depending on how we use or DI's could DI one..
  4. I'm thinking we will be going 3 o-lineman again.,..which 3 will be decided in TC..Harris..Demski and Woli if he's back, or Peterman gets his opportunity...Again 1 on defense but where next year not sure..I'd like us to roll with the Richardson/Nevis (if back or the use of another cheaper American monster) as the d-line starters and a National in the Defensive Backfield somewhere..be it wide side Corner or safety.
  5. Sounds good to me as well
  6. Ha..yeah he prob would be..and that read option became too one dimensional and predictable.. needed to be more organic..and if u gonna beat it to death utilize more than just Harris and Strev A more varied offence with some of that..not focusing on it with roll outs..moving of pocket and launch point would be just as effective if not more..spreading the defense out and if the pass isnt there the run threat is..or suck them in and the pass is there.
  7. Look at banjo bowl highlights.. made several different ranges of throws..same with grey cup..he needs to be let loose a bit like people have said.. roll outs..sprint outs..etc..hes not a pocket passer at this time so why force it Look at early Dunnigan stuff..they had him changing launch points all the time..teams weren't sure to defend run..or pass.. that's wht makes him effective. Having him run obvious run plays or keeping him stationary is stagnating his progress..let the boy loose and have at er
  8. Thats what I have been saying...he needs to play in Khari's system..wide open..high risk..high reward and live to fight another day...his development would speed up so much faster
  9. If we lose Willie...which I doubt then I can see us rotating Kongbo/Jeffcoat/Hansen and Mcallister next year...or we keep Roh..
  10. based on their career they both throw a pick in 2.5% of their pass attempts....so they throw the same amount of pics Whereas Nichols throws a TD in 4.6%and Collaros does in 4.5% of his passes...DO the stats say then that Matt is better then..because if the numbers were flipped I sure people would say the same
  11. I'd have to say no...to be honest..may be up and down and some rough spots...but exciting as all hell...and if we have a new OC who has a more gunslinger mentality...that may just be the tonic Strev needs....guy can pass and make all the throws needed...he just needs some game plans where he gets to chuck it 25-30 times a game and get in a rhythm
  12. I'd go with the latter
  13. he's said before being his own agent he just wants fair compensation...also said he wanted to sign a one year deal here last year..see how he fit..if he liked it, and if it was successful.. and the team/city was a fit and liked him back..Pretty obvious it all seem to work out as he hoped..
  14. I would hope we can extend Jefferson..Bryant..Hardrick..Rose..Sayles..Nevis..Woli and one of Neuf and Couture prior to official free agency...or right at beginning if/when they wanted to just see what market was....a scenario I likely see happening...that would be a successful off-season in regards to our own guys.....the others if any can be re-upped is gravy, but we may already have in house guys thee to step in, or are looking at a specific free-agent from elsewhere As for QB...we need to lock up Strev and whoever the vet is (Matt..Zack) either or will do us just fine while Strev develops. A pretty doable and realistic free-agency if you ask me
  15. Played corner in school so obviously has cover skills
  16. I'd really push and work for Exume to play at safety..closes fast..has nose for the ball..and is a hitter too
  17. Yeah a guy like Sayles..Bailey and Lawler on a entry level deal..and a guy say like Kyrie Wilson who prob wasnt making a lot basically got a 1/3 or possibly a bit more of his total salary in that 3 weeks..for a team to say to a free agent/prospect that guys in 2019 made an additional 23k in bonus money from.being successful goes a long way
  18. I'm sure we will all find things to sqwuak..moan...and complain about...haha
  19. You can't really argue with that...100 percent agree
  20. Lions to make a major football operations announcement today...wonder what that is...Perhaps they have decided on a coach already...be smart to have a guiy locked in now to have a hand in possible free agent extensions prior to free agency in whom they may wanna keep...discard
  21. so for a free agent looking to jump ship, and getting a shot at an extra 7000k+ at minimum just to play in play-offs has to be a bargaining tool..and that was the 4 year deal from 2015...prob goes up a bit for next year I would thinkn
  22. so basically our guys got 23,000k for those 3 weeks of work...and a ring lol
  23. Grey Cup Winner‎: ‎$16,000 First Place Standing (Bye)‎: ‎$3,400 Grey Cup Runner-up‎: ‎$8,000 Semi-Final Participation‎: ‎$3,400 Final Participation‎: ‎$3,600 That was last year I believe..may been more this year
  24. Bryants base was 160..165....Bonus I dont put into that as who knows what they get and Walters has gone on record saying that he avoids deals with structured performance/award bonuses because too many unknowns and can really eff up your SMS and limit things you may want to do mid season...where you get this well over 200 for Bryant from I'm unsure of...he is closer to 150k than he is to 200k
